Happy with a loan, allows us to monitor his progress over the next 18 months. I think teams are becoming a bit more reluctant to splash cash on youngsters these days, its too much of a risk to throw so much money at a player who has had 1/2 good seasons in a lesser league. Worryingly though, two of the players who spring to mind both came from Benfica. Renato Sanches and Joao Felix. I think Felix will probably become a good player for Atletico eventually but its one hell of a fee they paid for him, you'd expect a bit more from him than what they have got so far.

50m? wow
That's steep

Depends how he pans out I guess. He was highly thought of a while back but I've read that Benfica's style didn't really suit him and he slipped down the order. No idea what the loan fee is but it gives us a chance to try the goods before buying which is a good thing.

Tielemans was in a similar position career wise before his move to Leicester and look how that panned out. The past is the past, lets see how far he comes along in our team and I'm excited to see how he can progress.

From his clips he looks more in the Lamela Lo Celso mode but also could develop into a good DM.
I thought he can find space well but maybe that's because those defences are not so tight.
He has enough quality to take a loan punt

NDombele?
Ndombele is more creative than Dembele but built similar to Dembele. Plays a similar position.
Gedson looks a bit more fluid in the sense of movement up and down and across the field
It's just by 10 mins of you tube so who knows but seemed ok to me

Let’s play over/under. How many games do we think he’ll start from now to the end of the season?

Over 5
Under 5

I’ll go under...

Judging by how the summer ones have got on, we won't see him until next season and only then for 2 minute cameos at the end of games.

I say and hope over. The alternatives are Winks, young Skipp, unfit Dier and broken Tanguy.
Given that he’s hardly played all season and won’t be match fit, is extremely raw, and will need to learn how fast the PL is and how he won’t get as many touches as he seems to take in his clip reel, I’d say all of the above are probably preferable at the moment.

More like Sissoko imo.
Hope he knows where the goal is, unlike Sissoko

To me Sissoko is an average player but works twice as hard as any other player and covers a ton of ground. His quality really is intangible.
Gedson looks more fluid. Has much more ball control it looks (only clips) more like Lo Cekso or Lamela.
He can press and tackle. I dont see him at all like Sissoko as their ball control looks completely different
As I said 10 minutes of clips only
I dont think players have to score but if you are a CM you do expect them to create space and open it up for more forward opportunities

Although saying that, Ndombele does have striking resemblance to Dembele in terms of the inordinate amount of time they spend with the physio.

Looks to be a decent player, great acceleration for a CM and we need someone with a bit of physical ability and bite in there. He does seem like quite a box to box player.

Not even close to being the same type of player unfortunately. Dembele was a legit one off.

No two players are the same but NDombele is the closest you'll get in terms of a combination of physique and technique.

Dembele was a smoother dribbler and more dillently defensively but what NDombele lacks in those areas he makes up in his passing ability.

Dembele's size and strength made him absolutely unique, but he was also graceful. He could glide passed opposition players like they weren't there. I see no signs of Ndombele doing any of that.

Ndombele has his strengths, and he will be a fine player in his own right, but I don't think it would do him any favours to compare him to Dembele, because he falls short of that standard purely because Dembele is an untouchable freak of nature.
