It is actually weird the Spurs twitter hasn't put anything since last night. There's a radio silence. Nothing about tomorrow's game. No mention of the academy team's game today.

Probably sick of the 'Announce Bale' replies to each tweet.

Was just going to post something similar. Our U18 side beat Arsenal today. I'm not sure they massively tweet about them, but an admin of a PL football team would surely tweet something about beating their rivals. They must just be so afraid of the ANNOUNCE BALE lunatics everywhere.

People, for A&C to say this, knowing that if it doesn’t transpire to be he’s going to be the one cleaning the shit off the walls in here, there’ll be some info to which us plebs are not privy. Much like Barnett wouldn’t have said what he said unless he knew it was happening, our dear Antistratigos would not tell us he thinks it’s close unless he had reason to think it’s close.
:D

Honestly, I know no more than we've already said. Everything we're hearing is that it'll be announced today. That's genuinely all I know.

I'm not getting angry but I am really itching to see Bale holding up and wearing the new Spurs shirt. I still can't quite believe he's back.

They also probably know that, unfortunately, if they announce Reguilon first that’s gonna get swamped with “announce bale” comments as well

I'm starting to think the same. But they can turn off replies for those who they don't follow. If that was the reason I can't say I blame them. Would annoy me as well.

They almost always tweet teamnews and HT/FT updates for U18 league games, especially NLD games. Strange.

FWIW if I had to guess at what might cause a delay, I’d say approvals. Producing any content requires multiple approvals, so even with in-house teams it can be tough to get things done fast. Factoring in the significance of this signing, I’m sure it’s even worse. Every pleb in the corporate hierarchy will suddenly rate themselves a Cannes Lion winning Creative Director, insisting their pedantic feedback is the difference between global viral success and social media obscurity. Levy will no doubt be micro-managing, plus Bale’s team will also have their say. So spare a thought for the creatives and content managers who are probably having to bite their tongues as they graft like streetwalkers.

If you gold the thread, could you first delete everything between roughly 6pm yesterday until whatever point the announcement is?

Surely if the amazon documentary has taught us anything, it’s the value of good editing.

Otherwise Rose would’ve come off as a polite, erudite, responsible young man while Vertonghen would’ve been outed as actually having banged Mrs Eriksen.

Losing your shit waiting on an official announcement is so weird to me. Does it really matter if it was yesterday or tomorrow? He's a Tottenham player and it will be official, you can't control when it is announced, so why get angry?

If you said this last night I’d have been with you mate. However, if it’s not announced today I’m burning it down and all the man dem.

Sundown in London is at 7pm. That is the official end of the holy day. My guess is that Levy, who is I believe a member of the tribe, won't want to announce before he can actually enjoy it. 7pm gmt 2pm est, few more hours to go all. ✡
