Had a bad night, but all keepers go through it. Even Ederson and Allison have done it. He's been solid since he came in though, including his passing.

He’s been really good at standing in. He made 2 horrendous errors last night that fortunately didn’t cost us.

I’ve no doubt he feels a bit embarrassed but hopefully he uses this to ensure better judgment in future.

He’s earned more than enough goodwill over the past few weeks with me. Unlucky mate, we still won, onto the next game.

At 3-0 Forster made a great save from a Zirkzee header, but that chance came about from a poor pass out by Forster initially. Having done it once and got away with it, it happended again and they scored. A third time? really? That shows a lack of footballing intelligence (he's not the only one) and a lack of clear thinking..

Liverpool will swarm all over him Sunday. I hope he has learnt his lesson and I hope that Ange and the coaches help him with clear instructions on how to avoid/ manage those situations in-game, that's part of their job too.

He made some errors last night that led to goals but those kind of mistakes have been the exception rather than the norm in his appearances. I'd be much more worried if I were a Man Utd fan. Onana and Bayindir would inspire zero confidence in me.

Best keeper on the pitch last night. :cautious:

I think he has enough credit in the bank to cover for last nights fuckups.

Not blaming him for today, although maybe he could have reacted quicker for the second goal but if Vic is out for another 2-3 months we have to get his (Vic’s) young under study in, in January as it will be better in the long run ……… even if the youngster gets back ache from picking the ball out of the net

I think he's been very good apart from the two crazy moments vs United, we'd have had some worse results without his saves since stepping in. Also today, apart from the crazy pass out to Salah, he did fine.

It's hard to justify making another part of our 11 weaker when we're already struggling so much. We do need to make sure the future we are building these younger players elsewhere up for is in the Premier League and not the Championship.

Kill me now, I can't cope with this

I know he will have a good few games and people will say Vicario is overrated and then goals will pour in
***ahem***

ok no one said Vicario is overrated but I think the overall point was spot on

Im pretty sure before Chelsea game, nobody felt we needed a GK in Jan

We need a goalkeeper because if Forster gets injured we don't have a keeper the club seem to trust other than for training. Not because the goals going in are all his fault, 2 the other night and second today. That's still 6 that weren't his fault. And yes Vicario is overrated, Forster is not much of a stepdown,.

Mate, we literally can't progress the ball upfield without losing and partly because our GK isn't comfortable with the ball at his feet

I mean, he's not a bad keeper but when Ange came in someone should have said, "hey, wait a minute. He's totally unsuited to the way we'll play" and signed a replacement.

He's being asked to a job he simply isn't capable of and for other reasons, avoiding the back and forths on that subject, that simply isn't going to change even temporarily to accommodate his nibs.

Forster is a massive issue for me. A fantastic traditional keeper but not for Ange. I hoped he would stay the game off showing the defence they could trust him but that early pass to Salah immediately fcuked up any confidence in him with the ball.

Needs to be replaced asap. Probably need a better ball playing keeper than a shot stopper.

We won't get another keeper.

If wr do, above other more critical positions, would be absolutely ridiculous.

Whilst forster isn't thr best woth his feet, it's not all on him, we don't really have players capable of receiving and turning the ball in tight spaces to be able to play this way to begin with, that is essentially thr crux of the issue we face, not on one position as such

I saw something I didn’t like in Forster yesterday. After son came off he handed the captains armband to gray to pass on to Forster.
After the 6th goal went in, he took off the armband and threw it to the ground. Bergvall saw what happened (appeared to argue with him) and then had to run half the pitch and hand it to kulu.

The very fact that Fraser Forster was wearing our captain's armband for any amount of time says it all about the state of this squad.
