Last night just confirmed my thoughts about him.

- Any shots where it’s pure reaction saves with his hands or feet while on the spot, he’s still very very good.
- His kicking and passing won’t be too much of an issue. He’ll keep it simple.
- Any save where he has to move his feet quickly and he’s in trouble. Shots where he has to get full extension in a dive will be a big Achilles heel for him.
- He’s prone to the odd dropped take from corners etc, but I can’t see him being bullied by a defender blocking him off.

It is what it is, he has December to prove he’s up to the task really.

This is key, Vic is very susceptible to being pushed about by defenders particularly from corners.

I doubt we'll see much of that with Forster - I'd love to see some of the little pricks in the PL try and bully him off the ball.

The man's 6ft 7, he's an absolute unit. (For reference, he's 1cm shorter than Peter Crouch, and about twice the width)

Are you seriously saying he should've done better with their equaliser that flashed across goal to 3 Roma players standing on their own?
haha - sorry. I was talking about their goal that was disallowed

Yeah, you’d need 3 keepers to stop their equaliser!

Thought for a first game in a while he was fine. I'm sure he'll get better with a run of games.

Did well . Should have taken a step then dived for 1st goal though.
That’s his problem. Doesn’t move his feet quick enough, cannot get to shots just inside the post. Did ok though, One criticism …when we were under the cosh in the last ten mins Should have gone down with cramp as Raya and others would have done . All very noble not killing the game but they all do it, even the wonderful Man City when they are winning.

For someone who can’t get down quick enough to make saves low down according to the hive, the save from Dybala in the first half was outstanding.

First game, solid, much worse performances out field. Didn’t do much wrong IMO.

That’s vics only problem. As a keeper the box is urs, he doesn’t seem to do that, especially in the PL keeepers are protected by the box around them, he needs to use it more. He’s is to easily bullied off the ball.

Yea was better than I thought but the first goal he should have moved his feet quicker and saved it
It’s all depending, he’s a big lad maybe shoul be kinder on his feet no doubt, buts good reliable keeper he sure as shit is. Always liked him, can’t do ifs and buts.

His stopping is Schmeichel like at times. So good at those one on ones where his frame is so big. Like a hockey keeper. Just the dodgy pass out first half put us in a bit of danger. Other than that another solid game. Playing regularly clearly helps him as looking sharp now.

My MOM today. Some great saves.

One misplaced pass aside I thought he was faultless. He’s also an absolute unit!!!
