You have to be a next level uber virgin to actually do Excel formulas about Spurs. Especially something as abundantly obvious as "Lamela has missed a lot of games through injury".
It isn't even a good spreadsheet. Why are the names written exclusively in lowercase? Where's the alignment? Why hasn't he acknowledged or simply removed the error checking for his cells? Why doesn't it include close-up images of each injury? If you're gonna retain your hymen and create such a needless sheet, at least do it properly!

I don't care if he spends injured about 80% of the time, he was one of the very few player, perhaps the only one, to not turn his back on Pochetino and to always try to make something happen, even when most had already given up. Without his input this season we would be about 5 points worse right now.

I'm sorry, but that's the sort of player I can never bring myself to stop supporting. You guys go on and be as negative as you want, I, for one, hope that Erik Lamela stays with this club for as long as his footballing career lasts.

That’s one way of looking at it. Another is that having a player that is ‘injured about 80% of the time’, is a drain on the club’s resources.

His wages would be better spent on any number of half decent AMs who aren’t permanently crocked.

Would have been really great if he could have played tonight!... oh wait, he can never fucking play.

Man City is the only game this season his goals/assists have actually contributed to a potential different result. I know its not that black and white but the only other games he scored/assisted in were Red star at home & CP at home. Why is that a guy worth waiting around on?

I think you're forgetting the Aston Villa and Arsenal matches earlier this season, in which he had a direct impact on the score (which doesn't necessarily means scoring or assisting).

Look, I'm as frustrated as the rest of you about his lack of game time and I understand the reactions some of you are having, I also wouldn't resent Daniel if he ends up trading him to some other team. But I do think what Erik brings to the club is pretty much unique and something we won't be finding in most other players, and if it was up to me I would make sure to keep him for as long as he feels committed to the game.

So far, Mourinho can't even bring himself to give important playing time to players who aren't his favorites, I don't think we would be putting those Lamela wages to a better use until Mou has a better feel of this squad. If Lamela can't overcome his fitness struggles then I don't think he will ever get the chance to prove himself to Mou, but we will see.

He will come back around March, play the last few games of the season and raring to go again during pre season. Sigh..

Is there absolutely no words from the treatment room when he is coming back?

If you had March in your Erik Lamela bingo, you’re a winner!

Turns out this is wrong - Jose apparently clarified that Lamela will be back soon as he has already been out for two months, rather than being out for a further two months.

Looks like him and NDombele will probs return late December.

Absolutely ridiculous, misses more games then he plays, has to go in the Summer, sucks for him but the club is more important

Incredibly frustrating. I was really happy to have him fit and ready but the usual injury out of nowhere has cropped up again.

I'd rather have a player of slightly less ability but was available for the large majority of the season than Lamela to be honest. I'm not like some others in that I like what he brings to the team but he really can't be relied upon at all. I would really like to see us move him on and have someone else fill his place and I don't say that with ease.

If he was fit I could see him be a prime JM type player
If. The big if.

Just incredibly frustrating. Seasons after seasons we just don't see him for a prolonged period of time. His injuries are taking far too long to recover every fucking single year.

I'm a huge fan of him but I'm giving up already after 6 crocked seasons.

We're frustrated with his injuries but think how he must fucking feel.
Probably comforted by the several hundred thousand he‘a pocketed during his latest injury spell.

Love the guy but 63 league matches out of our last 130 = both salary and squad space (non hg too) which could be going to someone we’d get more value out of. Shame, as in Pochettino’s first two seasons he played all but nine league games.

If we could replace him and Eriksen with one top quality AM who could play off the right, we’d have a much better dynamic. More opportunities for Sessegnon and Lo Celso, and a top player who could offer some threat to the current starting three players starting spots. As it stands, we have two spots being taken up by one guy who never players and another who never wanted too.

That failing, surgically transplant Lamela’s brain and heart into Eriksen’s body.
