Best bet would for him to go back to Italy which is a less intense physically demanding league.

Maybe the most damning example of our complacency over the years. 7 years of injury after injury and we're happy to have him sit here and be an "option off the bench". Should have been replaced years ago.

We really needed him out there today. The most frustrating thing is he's an excellent player but never there when we need him.

Ensue the eye rolls but getting Grealish over the line that one Summer and shipping out Lamela would have been brilliant business.

I admire Lamela but he isnt worth having around because of his injury record... Its time to move him on.

I hate myself for saying this but for the good of Tottenham comes first.

Another game where he could have been used but wasn’t due to injury, in a season full of injuries for us and likely next season he can’t afford to be carried anymore

He's won me over, from the high hopes when he joined, to 4 years of frustration, and now he's found a different role that suits him, but he's simply injured too often.

Replacing him with a Cantwell, McNeil, Buendia or similar in the summer is essential. Which us unfortunate but we cant continue to be a player down in the squad every other week

really sad to say as easily my favourite player in our team currently and has been for number of seasons but it’s time to let him go in the summer. We can’t keep carrying him in our squad especially in at time where a massive rebuild is needed.

if only he had a right foot he may have been able to score, hard to believe a player of this much class can only use 1 foot

Beast mode. More of his from him when the season restarts.

It’s always the same, though. When his body gets a rest over the summer he comes back into preseason looking like the dog’s bollocks and then the matches start and his body fails him. Let’s not expect much else.

Maybe his new blonde hair can keep him injury free. If he can’t stay fit for a decent period of matches he’s a very handy player to have but if not we really neeed to think about selling him as this has been going on far far too long having a £30m attacking player on the books who can’t ever last more than a handful of matches before picking up injuries.
