Love him, he's one tough fecker I'd hate to play against him. He never gives you a minute.

Brings the tempo we badly miss.

Think Jose likes him too, just need to get him fit for 70 not 20mins again.

Tenaticous and skillful with a passion to drive forward.

He came on and totally bossed it - lifted all the other players and was a proper leader out there.

The biggest problem with Lamela other than his injury record, of course, it that unlike his sub appearances he often doesn't show up with the same level of intensity when he starts games.

Disagree. Even when Poch was subbing him in the 2nd half after starting, most were moaning why was he being taking off our most effective player?
For example, did you see when he started and bossed it for us in the 2-2 draw against City earlier in the season, when he was our best player, scoring 1 and assisting the other, at the Etihad?

Our frustrations are nothing compared to what lamela must be feeling. It must take a toll on him mentally that his body can break down on him at any moment.

He's a fighter and gives his all for the club that's all we can ask for when he's at the club.

He's a massive plus to our squad when fit. But in throughout his 7 years with us he can NEVER be trusted to play a part. That imo is unlikely to change.

I'd love nothing more than for him to go the rest of the season without even a niggle. Then we could truly understand how good and vital he is to us. But that won't happen will it.

It will be the same as before: a bright cameo or two after time out injured. Then maybe a start where he doesn't necessarily perform (probably due to lack of gametime and rhythm which is understandable) another good performance before picking up a knock. Its a very common theme.

Don't get me wrong I love the bloke. He's a perfect squad player who's form can demand a starting spot. Just always short lived.

Probably my favourite player, and he's got a great chemistry with GLC. Gives his all and an absolute master of the dark arts. Always takes one for the team but is smart enough to never get sent off. I'm not proud to admit it but that no look stamp on Fabregas was classic. Such a devil.

If fit could be not play a Firmino type role ? Not a classic 9 but he’s 6ft 1 with some pace and could link up play imo.

Definitely worth a go. He’s strong, aggressive and has flair. It would beat seeing Moura being completely dominated by 6’ 2 centre backs.
