Ghaly was treated pretty badly in my opinion but he did disrespect the shirt.
Dier was just protecting his little brother.
Totally different situations.

Dier is worse to me. Dier going after a fan in the stands because he wants to protect his brother? Unless it comes out that his brother is a juvenile it's uncalled for

Eric Dier was immense, leader of a team. Unfortunately we couldn't find a net and lost but he was immense. He also defended his family same as he was fighting for team yesterday.

Eric fucking Dier. Shift the deadwood and continue with those who want to fight.

If someone was having a pop at me and my family?! Yer too right I would be doing exactly what Eric has done. I personally can’t blame him for reacting.

How can you say that without knowing what was said? I’ve heard some awful awful things at Spurs, people wishing players get cancer and the likes. Now imagine you’re Eric Dier, his brother has heard some scumbag say that, reacted, and in turn is getting abused. How do you react to that?

You notify the stewards who intervene and/or notify the police and they arrest the culprit. You cannot whether it’s family or not jump into the crowd and attack and/or go for said person. In every day life if someone was abusive to a family member and you hit them when surrounded by multiple witnesses/cctv you would get charged with battery/ABH/GBH. It’s admirable what Dier did but it was also a massive no no and he will be heavily punished for it. I think we can safely say he won’t feature again once the FA has dealt with him.

Just think he's an idiot. Find it amusing that people were quick to run Ghaly out of the club but Dier does this and people think it's ok. He needs to grow up

Posts like these are just an absolute nonsense, sitting firmly on your soapbox without a grip on reality. He needs to grow up? What are you on about...everyone reacts differently to situations - just because you may not be man enough to confront someone insulting or attacking your family it doesn't mean he has to follow suit.

The holier than thou attitude is a load of bollocks, all you lot do is judge as if players are meant to be robots.

Maybe it's just me, but I fucking love Eric Dier. He's a leader and someone I want around the team. I thought he played really well last night and fair play to him to chasing a mouthy twat out of the stadium. It's a totally different situation to Ghaly. Ghaly threw his shirt on the ground, Dier was standing up for his family.

I have said for a long time that Dier has a real leaders mentality. I doubt he hesitated in going first in the shoot out.

Why would you know how I would react, that's a pretty low comment. Trying to compare it to a random incident in the street which it isn't

How many games did Cantona get banned for his Kung Fu attack on a fan?

Banned 9 months plus 120hours of community service.

but Cantona’s incident was more serious as he kicked a fan. So hopefully Dier might get a lower ban.

Thought Dier was excellent in defence last night one of the only bright points. Shame he is probably banned for a while now

Does anyone remember what sanction Livermore got after he went into the crowd after someone abused his dead child?

I agree with the sentiment of your post, but how someone reacts has nothing to do with being "man enough".
