well, until we get a proper tackler in that midfield or spend all week training defending and hope the players can remember and follow instructions going into the next game, we are completely fucked if that is the case.
The problem is we are apparently not looking at any DM this window, so I guess we are fucked

Or we'll go in and get fucking Fellani from China after their wage cap!!!! One thing for sure that if we did sign him, we could actually be a threat from set pieces. Tottenham are going down rather than up :(

I don't believe for one minute JM isn't looking for a DM player as we speak, forget what he said on day 1;

Levy has a choice, don't spend and languish in mid table, or wake up and see this ship is sinking .

The prem league is evolving every year and we have fallen behind.Teams have caught us up and overtaken us.....

I'm going by what ITKs are saying about transfers. attacking mids from the championship, RB and CB are the postions being looked. No mention of any DM at all.
It's obvious Mourinho won't admit to the press he wants a DM

That's true, which is why I said apparently.
We'll see, but I'm not optimistic about it. DM is the top priority for this window imo

Yes it is but no team is letting a good DM go mid-season unless he's out of favour for some reason or has a release clause. Until the summer it may be Dier or a short-term buy like Matic. Though saying that, there's rumours we've bid for Soumare so we'll see.

Or unless we make them an offer that's too good to turn down.

True, this is Levy we're talking about, but still.

I like Dier he does ok bits off the ball but he’s so immobile and his passing is average at best, he’d be a good championship CB but that’s about it.

didn’t seem happy about being taken off... mabye his love in with Jose is already over as Jose has realised he’s not up to scratch.

He was lost today again. Really hard to see how far off the pace he has fallen, he used to be so good.
It’s strange he just looks so so heavy like a rugby player or heavyweight boxer he used to be reasonably mobile but now he’s just a lump of lard ambling around.

feel for the guy but for me he’s not up to it and should be moved on as part of the re-build.

I am of the opinion he was never more than average, and 15-17 season where he worked as a cdm was hugely down to the beastness that was Dembele

Nah he was genuinely good.

If you didn't know better you'd think it was a different man all together in the video.. Much slimmer, many times quicker and more nimble than what he is now

Oh I miss that Dier. He was an amazing DM considering that is a position you usually peak in quite late in your career. If he had developed from that player he used to be he could have become a world class DM. As you say - hard to believe it is the same player we are seeing now.

Was a big fan of this guy but he looks finished at this level.

He was never quick but his mind was. The game is passing him by.

He’s absolutely awful. As others say I can’t believe how big and heavyset he looks now. He’s not a footballer. He’s so slow and immobile.

It’s amazing to see such a decline in a young player. He plays like he’s 34 years old. It’s quite clear he’s never going to be good enough nor will he suddenly be good enough.

He has lost what performance and talent and speed he had which clearly wasn’t much.

Look how much his physique has changed. He’s not as nimble or quick across the ground now due to how he’s filled out as he got older
