intrigued by this transfer tbh. like many wasn't overly wowed by the choice but must admit am super interested to see how he goes, think he'll be pretty good tbh.

from a few posts back, we need a fitting piece in the jigsaw as opposed to an out and out striker, fitting the profile perfectly is a massive aspect tbh.

I think he will do really well and surprise a lot of people.
I think it will help Richarlison. Not only because of rotation but because Richarlison strikes me as someone that relishes competition. Is also a benefit for Lankshear if kept as third striker, more room for time and development in the various competitions without the pressure.

Excellent news. He ticks every box IMO and fits the club and the manager’s brief to a tee. Proper joined up thinking. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much confidence in our recruitment before.

As I’ve said before there are other strikers with more potential that would be more exciting.

However what’s exciting me most about this deal is we are for once spending money on a player who is PL ready now and fits the system rather than buying a young player like an asset that we hope appreciates. Hopefully this is the start of something.

This seems to be moving now which is good news. Happy to have another striker option and hopefully means we won't have to play Son in that position again.

I remember from the game in Dec that he always seemed to be completely unmarked at the back post for every corner. Had the delivery been better he could have scored a couple easily. This may say more about our woeful defending at the time from corners.

Be good if we can get him in training before the Leicester game so he can possibly start or at least be on the bench.

Let’s get this done then let’s get Neto and a CM and/or LB and then happy days.

I may be getting old, but I’m still young enough at heart to be excited any time we sign a striker.

G’wan Solanke!

I'll be honest, I was really hoping this one wouldn't happen. It's a complete waste of money in my opinion. I've never been so underwhelmed by a transfer to spurs. I would much rather we kept the money and spent it on a top player when we could.

No way was this Anges top target. Spurs need to think and act bigger if we want to progress.

I’ll be honest, i was hoping for a bigger named more talented player, (or even gyokeres who looks perfect for us) and initially i was disappointed in this. But the longer this has gone on, the more i have seen about his style and stats i can see exactly why we are going for him. So although he wouldnt be my first choice, (probably wouldnt have been in my top 5 choices in all honesty), i get it and i will back the lad. At least now with richy staying we have a choice of two strikers who will give their all to the team in terms of pressing from the front.

Now lets go get a winger and see where we can go. COYS!

Has he played for Bournemouth in pre-season?

If so, no reason why he can’t start against Leicester (if signed in time).

Though our corners nearly always go to the front post!

He may not have been number one, but he was DEFINITELY a target as links have been around for 6/7 months. With the others linked, gyokeres is a good 20million more by the looks of it, openda has a clause for next summer and is probably likely to wait and toney is well a complete douchebag who nobody will touch unless they are desperate. At least we have pulled the trigger for someone on our list, and not panicked at the end of a window on a random like we have plenty of times before.

I know some people are optimistic about him but I'm finding it really hard to get excited about our major striker signing in last 2 years being Dominic Solanke.
I'll cheer him on and support him if he signs but it's an underwhelming one imo.
Whilst I actually agree (about the financial outlay and level of player), we must acknowledge this is most definately a Ange signing or at the very least a signing Ange is fully behind on.

Meh. Then maybe we needed a different list. 😂
