Big Dom is pukka, not sure he'll ever put up monster numbers but his all round game is quality.
The mad thing with Dom is that the numbers only tell half the story. The tireless running, pressing & unselfish work is better than any striker I've seen for us.

He's an example of why myself and some others aren't football scouts. Not that I thought he was awful, I just didn't think he would be this good and his energy levels are insane. We need a rotation option soon though, so we don't burn him out.

It's important to scout personalities too, some players get settled once they receive a huge payday, others get to the next level and improve.

You had a stinker here son :ROFLMAO:
In fairness I think a lot on here felt the same way. A lot of money for a player that really only had that one season where he scored a lot of goals. A player that had been around a few years with out seeing a lot of success. Personally at the time I was of the same opinion but he has settled in really well after a slow start and holds the line up front superbly and no one can dispute his work rate. I would like him to score a few more of what I would call the easy one's.....the tap ins.....he has fluffed a few of those but he seems a perfect fit for us at the moment.

Oh yeah you're right, a lot of people did feel the same. But as you say, that's because they were judging Solanke on the fact he only had one good goalscoring season.

Luckily our recruitment team are basing their analysis on more than how many goals he scored. They did their job and found a player that fitted Ange's criteria for the kind of striker that would complement his system.

Oh jesus that's the worst possible news if true. Although we do have Richy back so I guess it's his time to shine.
