Showing my age a little, but he reminds me of Mark Hughes a bit. He was never the most prolific goalscorer (think he only hit 20 in a season for United once) but by God he would work his arse off giving his team a platform and bully opposition defenders.

Just a class act. Can see why he was the jewel in Chelsea’s academy set up - the guy has absolutely everything in his game but the key ingredient that sets him apart from many other professionals is his work rate. So pleased with him. These are the first team signings we need - ones that really improve us.
Funny what happens when you buy proven prem quality - yes it’s expensive, but in most cases you know what you’re getting.

Rewatching the game and my god he is a bully against opposition centre halves with his back to goal.
Same page lad, defenders seem scared of his stature ans work rate. He’s around the same night as Kane but his presence seems twice as big. And for his stature he can keep the ball close to him, a very very tidy player. I feel there is a lot more to come from him.

He has really surprised me. I was very underwhelmed when he signed but he has really impressed.

Running, pressing, strength, passing and awareness. Shame he didn't get in the scoresheet yesterday but he genuinely occupies the centre backs to allow others to score.
It’s a hard one isn’t it, we were blessed for years with Kane so it’s a bit of a mind shift to get our heads around not having a forward who is banging in goals every game.
The fact we’ve got a +14 gd just shows how as a team they are all chipping in and not being so reliant on the cf to score the bulk of the goals.
I had my reservations at first but Dom’s been great, can’t fault him at all.
He’s probably wanting a few more goals though!

The best non prolific striker we’ve had in a very long time. I don’t care if he scores or not he brings so much to the team imo.

We've had players that when they don't score they're basically passengers.

This guy is the polar opposite. Does so much for the team that goals are a bonus.

Another that plays with a smile too.

Nothing but positives from Dom for me (y)

FFS Dom’s antibodies.

Real lack of effort from all of them today in combatting the virus’s threat.

3/10 performance.

Yeah, he’s a key cog in the machine, really. He just knits it all together, and the workrate off the ball is really hard to match with what we have at our disposal. I really hope either Lankshear can come on leaps and bounds over the next few months, or we sell and replace Richy at the earliest possibility. Because the current situation is untenable and quickly falls apart when he undoubtedly needs a breather.

As long as he is at least on the bench tomorrow I'm good. Just to have the option would be nice.
