I wanted to put a shout out for him tonight, I thought he ran himself into the ground, worked hard in areas of the pitch that aren't his to police., made himself available, held the ball up well and closed down relentlessly. Thankless task he does for the team, a proper team man.
We didn’t pay £65m for someone who is good at chasing the ball.. He offered very little else. I respect he got little service but need more than a workhorse

I thought he was very good again despite feeding off scraps and getting nothing from the ref despite being fouled consistently. The guy ran himself into the ground and was running on fumes at the end. Yes I’d like him scoring, but he’s not actually getting much in the way of chances. I’m confident the goals will come.

He looked out on his feet for the last 20 mins. Love his commitment but it does feel like things don't come off for him a lot in the box.

Batteries run out after working tirelessly for the team.

Kulu should have squared it to him too

He held the ball up chased them down and but for poor final passes he prob would have scored.

Thought he played the perfect role against city

Dont really care who scores the goals as long as we win matches. We had one the greatest goal-scorers of all time in Kane and won nothing.

At the moment having Solanke in the side makes us a better team, thats more than enough for me.

Felt for him again tonight.

Runs himself into the ground for the team hold up and link up great but when you are doing so much thankless running it limits what you do when you get the ball and takes that burst of pace out of your legs.

Keep going Dom and the chances will come (y)

But of a weird one really. He does so much right in the build up and with his hold up play yet at the same time he looks quite far from getting on the scoresheet. Really hard to know whether to attribute that to him or the team.

I find it hard to criticise him in all honesty, but you could argue our wide men aren’t good enough to not have our striker easing the load with the goals a bit too.

One thing I do know though is that the rest of his game can be so good that if the goals do start to come, he’ll be a really great asset.

I think he's been brilliant. He never stops running and pressing.

Did he pick up an injury near the end or was he just exhausted?

Work rate exceptional, general play very decent. He hasn't had a shot on target in 4 games which has to be a bit of a concern.

He's not really getting the ball in good shooting positions because he's often busy winning the ball back and laying it off for others. Definition of a team-player, and if he starts adding regular goals we'll be laughing.
