He does ALOT of good work that unfortunately some fans just won't see, nor appreciate, but massively important to how we play. His strength, hold up play and work rate are all excellent.

He's not the best finisher but a real proper poacher and follows up on everything with will bag him 10 goals a season alone.

Love his tenacity, so many times in the last few games it looks like the opponent has stolen the ball from him and he's muscled in and won it back.

He'll get alot of goals for us this season I think.

It’s not the same but it reminds me of when opposition fans could never see the great passing and play of Kane even on days where he wasn’t scoring or getting chances.

If you look across the whole league there aren’t that many examples of strikers that put in the work he does and to the standard he is showing. He’s started to settle now and hopefully as the players get more confidence and understand working with each other (where they’ll be/where the cutbacks and crosses are going) we might see even more from him.

He's working hard and getting into good positions. A bit like Richi in his purple patch last year, but better facing away from goal which helps the rest of the team. Could be sharper when he gets the ball in the final third, but that should happen with time and patience. Aside from Gyokeres who will surely be at a top club next year, he's doing as well as anyone realistically could be.

I like that he plays strong. Richarlison (who i also have time for, when he's not injured) is the opposite and plays soft, more concerned with winning the free kick than he is protecting the ball and progessing the play a lot of the time.

He was the only one who anticipated Sarrs header on that corner, pretty much every other player on either team was static or moving away from goal. Great instinctive move.

I get some fans expectation levels of a striker are high, especially one who cost £60 million. Mine are equally high, and whilst some are picking on his misses in front of goal, they will come, I’m confident of that. Hes a new player, in a new team, with heavy expectations. Hes bound to overthink one on ones, he’s bound to take that extra touch right now. That will come as confidence grows and integration improves.

The biggest thing for me which I have been impressed with from the minute he pulled on a spurs shirt is everything else he does. Workrate, hold up play, timing, passing, movement, defending, close control…these are all attributes which are extremely hard to find in a single player and he has it in spades. I’m way more impressed by solanke having watched him live than I thought I would be.

He does have a fantastic workrate which is great for our press but at the end of the day he’s our striker and will be judged on the goals he scores and the chances he misses

I think the a pretty reductive take. Look at say Firmino, who got 15 one year but generally got around 8-12 a season. He also got 6-10 assists a season & it was clear to everyone that he was so key to the 2 wide men getting goals.

Look at last game. Kulu's goal comes from Solanke's header starting the move. Kulu in the 10 works so well because we have Solanke. Johnson is also getting more goals because of Solanke.

His goals are clearly mostly coming from the play of the wide players and the 10, which is enables by occupying defenders. The 3 poacher's goals he got in the last 3 game isn't the only thing to judge him on. What's been way more important is the role he's played in the other team goals we've scored.

I think the way to look at is our front 3 should be getting minimum 50 goals & ideally 60. I don't mind too much how that is spread out.

I imagine he was looking at Werner's performance think he should be playing there, not only Solanke's role. At Everton he was often played on the left.

I might be wrong on this one but seem to recall him sulking because he was being played from the left for us as he see's himself as a 9.

If we had Salah & Mane I’d agree with you but we don’t so Solanke will have to score plenty If this side is going to achieve anything

If he stays fit I think he can get 15 league goals and 20 in all comps. 15 in all comps wouldn’t be terrible but he’s going to score goals in this team for sure. I know it’s been said but his goal is a nice a tap in as you’ll see in terms of his anticipation and instincts.

It's the way I see it too. He's been an essential part of why we look better as a team, and he has qualities that will work well against both the low block and high pressing teams we face. I've been hugely impressed.
