This guy makes a really good point. Spence crossing needs work but he's excellent at getting in behind for low cutbacks etc and he's pretty good at those.

I don't know why... but I think this could prove one of our top 2 signings of the window. Genuinely believe he's made for a Conte team!

This has gone on for so long that I'm struggling to get excited about it, which is silly as he looks like a great prospect.

I guess it wouldn't be summer without a protracted Spurs transfer saga.

I'm sure I'll be excited once he's playing and tearing it up.

Call this protracted pfft lightweight ?
I've known spurs transfers that still are not over the line since about 2001 some of them sc are still trying to work out the original cryptic ?

So much of being a good wing back for Conte seems to be about off the ball running and getting into dangerous positions. Doherty is very good at this as he started to show last season, and emerson was getting better at this but it doesn't seem to be natural for him. By all accounts Spence is a real athlete, and the goals he scored last season shows he has real quality as well. If he responds well to Contes training methods he could turn into an absolute beast for us.
