I wasn't sure where to post this, but it's incredible - the Deki to Maddison goal from roughly 827364 angles. in every single one I think he can't possibly get to the ball first and even if he does he can't do anything with it.

Lovely stuff!

For as good a player as he is, Gvardiol got completely mugged off there. He definitely could could have got something on it to get it into touch there but didn't, and then followed the runner and let Kulu roam free. Big mistake.

I think players might be becoming a bit scared of the aura he currently has and losing confidence against him 1v1, which is excellent for us. He is a match for any player physically in a duel, has the tekkers to make them look silly and beat a man or the quality to cut in and do something with the ball. Can't be fun to face. Good.

And what a wonderful long ball from Dragusin to pick out Deki.

I was amazed Deki got on to it, and that Gvardiol didn't get there first to clear.

Great ball from Dragusin and fantastic tenacity from Deki.

I want to see it from the angle of Gvardiol's perspective (i.e. looking on in despair). 😅

It's after a player has settled in and is performing that I very much like to look back on comments about them before they joined.

In Kulu's case most ppl were a bit 'meh' so not out and out 'NO!" but when you think about who we were discussing for rotation back then it's crazy!

Kulu should be made captain... he's the perfect leader, rolemodel and warrior... great communication skills on and off the pitch as well. He's a winner... and his dedication is always top... even on bad days... I don't get the same vibe from our other so called leaders.

I think the most interesting thing about yesterdays performance was the formation and Deki's position. If you look at his heat map, he spent less of his time on the right side of the pitch than Madders spent on the left. Sonny, as you would expect, saw the majority of his game on the left touchline. So we seem to have played with one winger, 3 in midfield and Deki given a free role off the right.

Yeah, I think it could be a really good solution. We look so much better going forward when both kulu and maddison play together, so using this formation as a way to get them both playing is great.
You then have a lot of pace of then bench in Johnson and werner to cause tired defences problems. We will need to buy another 10 though if that is the case.

he's a wonderful player and I adore watching him when in form.

That said, I think he is a brilliant example of the way us (and most other fans) show their true bias through the sheer number of minutes of predominantly watching our own teams. You'll see similar comments from this thread in other fan spaces about similar players such as Odegaard, Bruno Fernandes, Gravenberch, Semenho, Cunha etc etc.

I'm not sure what it would take for him to join the next level with peak KdB et al but it sure is fun watching him potentially work his way there.

Don't forget Mark Noble.

Whilst I admire his words and he’s certainly been our best player this season we have a tendency to talk too much. We’ve got quite a few players who talk a good game.

He and others need to take these words onto the pitch, it’s no good speaking to the press without backing it up.

I want to see him and others really showing this attitude on the pitch.
He’s been phenomenal this season on the pitch for us! Our best player most probably

This is the standard, this is how we have to play every game. If not, we're just stupid. We just have to keep this level because when we play like this it's a joy for the world."

Love it

I didn't have Kulusevski becoming my favourite Spurs player in my pre-season predictions but by jove he's done it.

I wouldnt put it past Citeh throwing a ridiculously high bid for him in January, just incase they foresee a transfer ban as part of any sanction against them.

Nah. I could definitely see them interested in the summer though. But he has 4(?) years left on his contract so no way we even think of selling him.
