Yea let’s be real here and I’ve said this for absolutely ages, he’s not good enough for the level we and Ange would like us to be.

Just like Richarlison and Johnson aren’t, Solanke likely isn’, etc etc, it’s just a whole bunch of vastly overpriced players who are not the requisite quality. In Kulu’s case his fee wasn’t huge but he’s not good enough, end of.

We are not Stoke or Burnley, players just working hard alone doesn’t cut it, they need quality and he has very little.
Your views on Kulu are just so obviously wrong it’s a huge surprise you haven’t backtracked by now.

Give him a run through the middle and in two seasons time they’ll be talking about him as the next KDB, he’s got all the tools to play there.

Could he becoming our Joelinton? A forward gradually being turned into a very effective powerful midfielder.

I much much prefer him centrally, unfortunately with those injuries last night I suspect he maybe back on the right again soon.

If he is our best player so far (well Micky another possibility), then none are?

Way above likes of Maddison at the moment.
But that’s what I’m saying. No one is playing well enough really and Kulu being our best player right now whilst being very flawed is a symptom of why we aren’t scoring goals

Played Spence through last night for the goal. Good decision?
Yes… against the 14th place championship second string team. What did he do agsinst arsenal? When he made the wrong decision constantly and messed up countless attacks.
I like Kulu, he’s a decent player but there’s a reason we are struggling

Been one of our best players this season and changed the game tonight he makes things happen which is more than can be said for most of our other attacking players.

U wot?!

He's arguably one of our players who's in a run of form but we don't have to go overboard with hyperbole - "the next KdB" or build the team around him.

Right now, he needs to start and be central and let's see what transpires going forwards in that hopefully Ange will stumble on a system and personnel that works more cohesively.

Looking like he is returning to the form we saw when we signed him. I really like him, one of the only players who seems able to beat a man, not with his pace but with his technical ability. Something the rest of our team don't seem to be able to do. Son shows flashes every now and then.

He is first attacking player on the teamsheet for me at the minute. We just need Solanke to get a goal and I think the front 3 with Son on the left could hopefully settle and start becoming a threat again, we need all 3 firing like the half season when Kulu came in, him, Kane and Son all just worked so well together and you knew 1 of them would come up with something.

But he’s not that good? He works hard yeah he does some decent things but like against arsenal he messes up and picks the wrong decision constantly

I just don’t agree with this. He was one of our best players against both arsenal and Newcastle. Yeah he can be a bit scruffy at times, but his work rate, desire, technical ability and versatility are a huge asset to the team.

He must be an absolute nightmare to play against. Even the basic fact he competes and wins most of his 50/50’s was highlighted by the impact he made last night.

but he’s not elite.
Back tracking here. How many players in the EPL are elite? Let alone at one club?

Nobody has called Kulu “elite”. The general consensus is, he’s in better form then most and when he’s not quite having his best game it’s not due to lack of effort or trying.

Praise effort, not just ability.
