If we got Eze/Doue and Neto I would be happy to sell him. I would think a PL club would be interested. He's clearly good enough just not suited to this system. A few clubs already getting big sales on players so maybe we can tempt one of them. Come on Fulham , spend that Palhinha money.

Given he's not a part of the plans, I wonder why we took up the option to buy him last summer. Did Ange need an entire season to assess? It could be difficult to recoup our outlay on him now unless we sell him to a Premier League club.

Id say we've been underwhelmed with his performances last season and have changed our mind.

It happens.

As far as the club are concerned he is available for transfer. Along with numerous others he is not seen as part of the long term strategy.
Good and makes sense.
Hope we can sell him as we could recoup a decent fee to out towards players more suited to Ange's style of football.

Yeah, it could be this. But there's also been a lot of talk about him just not being right for Ange's system. Not having the pace to play the way Ange wants his wide forwards to play.

Possibly Ange or his team thought they could convert him to a more central role and it hasn't worked out. I still find it a bit strange though, given Kulu had already been at the club for a year and a half. Ok Ange only arrived that summer, but the club would have had plenty of knowledge about Kulu.

He’s done OK but hasn’t excelled in any of the roles he’s played under Ange. If a bid is good it makes a lot of sense to move him on. Equally if we don’t get the right bid he will be more than useful to have around the squad.

Not someone I would want to sell unless we were guaranteed to bring in two replacements like Neto and Eze.

Kulu is still only 24, that first 6 months under Conte he looked fantastic. Been hit and miss since then but I think he is a quality player still. Would like to see him playing behind a striker in the Maddison role, as Maddison didn't exactly finish the season strong.

You'd imagine if they interested we would have enquired immediately. Really unlikely but would be a transformational signing.
Might be misquoting but didn’t conte say he didn’t want any stars sold apart from osimhen which was pre-agreed?

P.s. I also expected some continuity to build on from last season. And yet the SC rumour mill seems to have Kulu, Romero, Richarlison, Bentancur etc potentially heading for the exit if the right offers come in. Just a bit suprised by the scale of potential change. 🤔

Despite being "not fit the system" he is our 3rd highest goal scorer last season. Replacing Deki with someone like Neto does not make our squad much stronger. What we should do is to get rid of deadwoods like Gil and Lo Celso and signing Neto/Eze/Doue with Deki going down the pecking order.

Besides Cuti, the players you mention are not really going to take us to the elite level.

However, as always, it is all about getting the right offers for them and replacing them with better options. Easier to say than do.

You are looking at stats and figures like that is what is most important. It isn't.

Agree with Trix here his stats are misleading and it’s been mentioned he’s not great at following instructions which will….

1) Annoy the manager
2) Effect how we perform on the pitch

I would let him go if we are getting in a good replacement (Neto etc)

I'm a big fan although admit he can frustrate and had a poor end to the season. I'd give him at least another year unless we get a bid we can't refuse.
