I got a lot of stick saying I think Sanchez been awful so far this season.
Theres been alot of bad positioning, errors, losing ball in dangerous places. Cant see what some of you see in him.
Can he come good? Yes maybe. But im not a fan of letting him play until he does. He needs to be put on the bench, work hard and show himself next time he gets the nod.Our defense has gone from one of the best to the worst of the top teams.

It's easy to criticise him, I'm guilty of it myself, but the system (or lack of) isn't doing him any favours. We played Toby/Jan plenty last season and were hardly sound in defence, the year before Sanchez played most games with Jan and we were pretty solid.

Too often on here we try and pinpoint one player as the reason for the whole team not doing well, it's not really fair.

Have to say I think that kind of tackle is all kinds of wrong, did not go for the ball and it could cause a serious injury.

Did this last night. :)

I’ve seen spurs fans on twitter all proud of this but for me it shows just how Sanchez hasn’t learnt a thing over the last 2 years.

Still making stupid rash tackles and let’s be honest that should’ve been a pen.

Fully agree, it's also these kind of tackles that he actually comes out second best in still too. I don't think I've seen a defender of ours so often choose to barge shoulders with the opposition but come off second best so often too.

I'm not gonna lie, I'll always be a little on edge with Sanchez at the back until he shows more signs of calmness and maturity.

I agree he needs to be more calm and mature but he is still lightyears ahead of Foyth in that regard.

Yeah, at least with Sanchez I feel like it's still possible he can make it through a few games without incident. Foyth just feels overly rash and a mistake waiting to happen, I have very little trust in him as of now.

Anyone else I'd 100% agree, but fuck Neymar.

This just highlights his shortcomings and lack of brain at times. I said before but he'd rather have a wrestle than actually make a clean tackle, not that he even needed to do either in that video

You ladies are overreacting. South American football is always physical and edgy. It's not much different when you compare La Liga to EPL. I'd take that from a CB all day long. It gets in their heads and makes them think twice about coming in his territory.

And it's Neymar for fucks sake! (y)

I don’t think it’s that bad, will probably be similar incidents in about 75% of every game this season that no one bats an eyelid at

Sanchez positioning is terrible. I think it's because he is nervous and spooked as when he started he looked in control but has lost his focus
