I think Poch has spooked him. He looked like a quality player when he came to Tottenham. So he has the talent. I think he hasn't dealt with the emotional side of his game.He always looked either very calm and collected and focused,or the exact opposite and we have seen more of the latter as time went on. I do think there is a player there. With Poch you have to get yourself above the tension that he creates, some can, some cant

When Van Dijk was Davinson's age he was playing for Celtic. As a 21 year old he was at Groningen. We have to be patient with Sanchez, he's still nowhere near his peak years.
Just because he nowhere near his peak years doesn't mean he is going to improve, hopefully i'm proved wrong.

Has he evolved since he came?

I personally think his progress has been slow but let's be honest he's always been third choice behind Toby & Jan since he got here. I'd say at present he can be regarded as a genuine regular and I'd like to see him get the rest of the season to hopefully push on.

I don't think people realise how much harder the Premier League is to adjust to. He had what was it 1 season in Holland before coming here? Even the likes of Desailly struggled when they first came and he was a prime World Cup winning footballer. I saw we give Davinson time, he is still very young.

Am I the only one who thinks Sanchez is pretty much the only defender who's been decent for us this season?

I thought Sanchez was sound when Toby was out for that long spell and he was paired with Verts.
As soon as Toby came back he has looked very worrying and sometimes like he's wearing concrete boots.
May be down to confidence but at present he's in a different back 4 every match and hasn't had a recognised dm in front of him since... well, too long.

That's just it, he hasn't made any progress after starting 77 games and to be fair i think Foyth will eventually be our right sided centre back.

Yes to be very fair he has been the most solid. The problem with Sanchez is that he is not very easy on the eye. He looks a bit like bambi on ice but generally gets the job done.

Will be really interesting to see what happens with Sanchez now and how he and Mourinho get along.

Only player in the first half who could really hold his head up. Continued in the 2nd half.

Showed no concentration lapses.that I noticed anyway. For such a young man, he really.is good.
