I don't think he can defend when we sit deep. Play a high line and he is fine but drop off and he struggles.

Havent seen anything of rodon but if hes half as good as people talk then get him next to toby or dier. Sanchez needs to be sold, hes becoming a liability.

I was hoping there were interests in taking Sanchez during the window and some disagreed with me that he should be sold.

Would gladly discuss any potential takers in 2.5 months time. He will do well at Inter.

I’d forgive Sanchez for that OG in any other situation but there was one occasion earlier in the second half where Lloris screams for the ball and Sanchez sticks out a leg then very quickly retracts it at the final moment. If you look at his face he looks as if to say “fuck me”.

He didn’t learn from that. It should’ve been fresh in his memory. Stupid, stupid mistake and it cost us big time.

He was so good all game then fucks up.

Doesn’t have good enough mentality and has been here long enough, needs to be sold and refreshed as soon as possible.

Jose targeted him when United played Ajax. Oppo does aswell. £42 m. FFS.

He was targeted all match by Antonio (and did well up until the first goal to be fair) because every opposition coach knows he's got a mistake in him.

My biggest worry is that him and Toby together do not play in the same line. One drops, one squeezes forward. It was the same against the Israeli team.

He has never showed that moment of composure which top defenders have. All his best defending is last ditch usually because he was in the wrong position or body shape was awful.

Not sure I'm following your logic here. Sanchez was going to boot the ball out for a corner (hopefully :nailbiting: ) but Lloris shouted that he had it covered so Sanchez pulled his foot back. You want your defender to be there ready to get rid in case there had been a West Ham player between the defender and the goalie.

But he wasn’t primed for booting it out. He’d lazily stuck a leg out which, if he’d made contact, was going in because Lloris had come out to collect the ball.

2 games and he's given away a cheap pen and scored a critical own goal.

I think we have to give Rodon a go. He'll also make mistakes, but at least he's good in the air and with the ball at his feet - two areas where Sanchez isn't great.

He has alot of good games, has a run of games where he looks strong.
But then games like this when he seems too shakey to be a starter

I don't think he's shite at all, people are just angry
24 years old, time for him to really become more consistent now though and relaxed

Oh, I don't know. To me, it seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing for a centre back to be doing at the time (stopping the ball from go across the mouth of the goal without knowing for sure what was behind him). He was (I think) well outside the post so he was preparing to boot it out for a corner until he heard Hugo's shout.
