Much like Eriksen a slightly bitter departure half way through a season is not how I wanted this relationship to end. There were times when Danny was nothing short of spectacular for us. He was one of the embodiments of the initial Poch era.

We live in the present not the past. Eriksen and Rose both ‘were’ fantastic players but for the last circa 2 seasons they’ve both been disinterested and predominantly shite. You can’t keep players at the club whom no longer have any desire and/or when they’re putting in poor performances week in week out to the detriment of the team.

We lost the likes of Modric, Bale, Walker, Berbatov and Carrick in their prime and they were all colossal loses as they were imperative to our high level performances and we failed to replace all of them. I’m not however bothered about losing Eriksen and Rose given their piss poor performances for the last 2 seasons.

but every football fan’s experience is built on looking at the past. He isn’t the future or even the present but I will always reminesce . It’s what defines me as a Spurs fan.

I agree and we’ve club legends and others whom we can look back on fondly eg Mabbutt, King, Klinsmann, Ginola, Keane, Defoe etc but in the case of Eriksen and Rose they’ve taken those fond memories and flushed them down the toilet.

I can’t wait for the exit interview when he slams Spurs for putting up with his shit for way too long.

Such a shame, on the pitch he’s been one of my favourite players for a good few seasons.

Good luck DR, good little player. Him and Walker attacking in the early Poch years really helped make us tick. Neither were consistent with crosses but he was very good a being a pain in the arse for opposition defenders.

Hope he does well if he moves back up north

The disrespect and personal criticism towards some of our players is flabbergasting at times.

Respect has be earned. But it can also be lost.

He showed the club absolutely no respect when he ran to the media to slate us before the kick off of a new season.

Then again about ‘running down his contract’. As if he had done us over and we should all feel so sad.

I find it ‘flabbergasting’ that you can respect such a man.

Respect does not have to be earned, it is a given, but it can be lost.

What do you mean by "such a man"? I may not have agreed with what he said, but he still has my respect and my thanks for giving his all in a Spurs shirt while seemingly going through hard times away from the pitch.

Typical - playing the mental health card.

Are you a millennial or just a general snowflake?

I really feel for Danny with regards to his mental health. That is very sad, and I hope he is now ok.

But your mention of it has NOTHING to do with respecting him. His mental health issues had nothing to do with the fact he threw his team under the bus a day before a season. It’s because he is a self-centred attention seeker.

PLEASE don’t try to throw in your sympathy about his mental health as a way to gain ‘likes’. It has nothing to do with the MULTIPLE times he acted like a cock.
