Surprised that Danny wants to go abroad because he always spoke so fondly of going back up north. Hope he enjoys it, I think he let himself get in his own head during his big injury and his career didn't pan the way he wanted. Shame but a big part of some of our best moments. Wish him all the best.

And wanting to go to Italy with a knows racist issue. Something Rose doesn't handle well (no-one should have to!)

Yeah I thought the same, hopefully he isn't subjected to abuse but if he is, I hope he can deal with it and enjoy it out there, been lucky enough to visit italy twice and I think it's an incredible place, it's been great to see a few british footballers giving it a go

Good luck Danny. Did well for us, always committed but should have sometimes learned when to keep quiet. Actually felt really sorry for him when he went to DL to ask about Milan when DL was munching his cocoa pops. Danny just looked like a lost wee boy. Hope Italy is good to you.

What's with all the Italian interest? Would be odd him going there.
Why?

He's a useful player, recent English imports to Serie A have been hits, the likes of Young and Smalling were considered washed out before coming to serie A but have found a new lease of life there. Teams probably feel the same could happen with Danny Rose.

Why, Ashley Young and Victor Moses are there... it’s like a retirement home similar to the MLS for EPL rejects lol
The slower pace definitely suits older players in general. Moses hasn't been very good, Eriksen been complete turd but Young and Smalling have looked very good. A more tactical disciplined game means that physicality is only used in bursts, not all the time and Young in particular has looked a different player.

Serie A is also an improving league, with lots of young players coming through and teams are becoming more competitive in Europe again. It feels the league is finally recovering from calciopoli and is probably as healthy as it's ever been since 2006. I think calling it a retirement home is a little bit silly. Players going there are likely to be able to challenge in Europe and Champions League and Europa places are very competitive.

Having said that Genoa and Caligari are relegation fodder, which is sad as both are historically very important teams.
