Didn't realise they were a Championship club. Would be a good loan for him.
Depends how long their player is out for really.
If he's only a short-term injury, we could find ourselves with Dane not getting a game again and we need to be on point with this loan for him.
It's getting to the make or break stage and he cannot have another loan where he's not played enough.

Great loan for him but I’m biased as it’s my second team and I normally get to a couple of games a season. Look forward to seeing him if it comes off. Hopefully he can kick on now anyway and live up to all that was expected of him- he has certainly bulked up into a man physique now.

They played some decent football as well, could quite easily have scored five or six, would be a much better option for him geographically as well over Sunderland.

Had a quick look and they lost an AM/LW for the season and their main striker went off in preseason. Seems he was going for a scan to check for ligament damage, so maybe there is some so they have escalated the approach for Dane.

Agreed though that this is most likely his last chance to make it here.

It could be a good loan for him but I always worry about loans to cover injuries, so hopefully we'll put a break clause in there should he find himself riding the bench.

I think we're at the stage where it's out of our hands and in to his. He'll know that his previous loans haven't been overly productive, particularly the Ipswich one, and he'll need to start putting that right and giving the club he goes to some real food for thought.

Whatever opportunity he gets I hope he takes it with two hands.

I know Norwich had a good win Saturday but they are predicted to have a struggling season just to stay in the championship.

I think a move to Sunderland would have been better they play good football and have players like Jack Clarke and jones Bellingham to supply him

Think he’d be more likely to play at Oxford though and that’s the main thing.

Good loan for him. Feel a bit for Dane a very highly rated talent, and tbh he is still a very good talent, we just happen to have other young players who are impressing more right now. Dane does need to find the net more often, but it can take time. Wishing him the best.

Sadly don't think he'll make it here, not if he's going on loan and Lankshear is staying around the first team.

The one advantage is Dane can play out wide, and when on loan has mostly played in that position, but, yeah, I don't think he will make it to the top as a wide forward, he can still make it to the top as a CF, but a pathway is difficult to see.

Dane is ultratalented, and is perfectly capable of making a massive impact at Oxford. He was very unlucky to go to an ipswich side that just found their team.
