I feel for him really because often he comes on either with too little time to impress or plays in a poor performing team. I would love to see how he does when the team is functioning well and he has half hour or so. He definitely needs to get off the mark in front of goal to get the confidence.

Would love to see Scarlett start so we can keep Son on the left. Hopefully, the myth of Ange giving youth a chance will come true.

If he doesn't start playing soon surely he must be looking to leave. If we are in Europe next season, it really does represent a good chance for him to be properly involved in well over 20-30 first team games next season.
There have been multiple coaches and experts that have spoken about this young man's ability. I'm not going to bang the "play the kids" drum as I don't think that is reasonable but surely there is only one way to find out about Dane ?

I'm in two minds about starting him against City. On the one hand I think we need Son out wide to really affect the game. On the other hand I think Dane will be eaten alive by the City centre backs.

He’s scored just four goals in professional men’s football, which is fine, he’s still really young. But he couldn’t force his way into a regular spot for Ipswich, so it’s going to be difficult for him here, probably. I’m all for giving youngsters a chance but only a fraction of them are up to the level we need. Agree though Europa League could be a great opportunity for him.

I guess what I'm saying is that I don't see us signing three strikers this summer. And I don't see all of Parrott, Veliz or Dane staying at the club so it would be a great chance for one or two of those players.

Sometimes you just have to play. Better to find out now than later

With Europa League on the horizon next season, I’d keep Scarlett and play him in those games. We should be looking to get out of the group easily but I’d like to see plenty of youth being given a chance.

I’d start him in the next two games. His pace in behind will keep defenders honest, as well as allowing son and Johnson to play to their strengths.

you never know, a goal could ignite his confidence.
It happened with rashford and kane

The shape looks better with a CF in the middle, preferably Richi but as he's not available I'd try Scarlett and see how it goes.

No groups next season, it's a league format the same as CL. We wont be able to just throw all the kids in until we've ensured our league position is high enough if we are trying to win it.

Remains to be seen, but there'll be more games with the new format and I reckon it will be easier to qualify than from a smaller group. Which could lead to more minutes for youth.

Hopefully we go for it, which means one or two youth or fringe players, not swapping most of the team and then wondering why we look shit!

Yea definitely agree on starting him, but you sure about the pace? As don’t think he’s really that quick when I’ve watched him.

You know what really made a man out of Harry Kane? That time he played in goal. I reckon we should give Super Dane a go at it on Tuesday night y'know...

Ah, forgot about that change. Either way, no reason why we couldn’t bring in Scarlett for Son or Dorrington/Phillips for Romero from time to time.
