Tin hat ready but I would be ok selling him. On his day he is unbelievably good but those are too infrequent and that is when he is fit or not suspended. I think Dargusin alongside Van de Venn would be fine and we have the Croatian wonder kid to come back. With an addition I’d take £70m plus to be reinvested

He's been middling this year. As have we as a team. The goals we conceded early on in the season were largely down to him being in the wrong position or making the wrong choice.

If he comes back and hits the ground running and we start churning out clean sheets like there's no tomorrow then I don't want him to go but, and I suspect we will, if we continue to concede similar goals with him out of position then I'm OK if he goes

Just no wonder kid is 17 and probably needs 2/3 seasons and dragusin isn’t the required level on the ball. We have to sign someone.

Of course Romero would want to go to Real. Increased wage, Spanish speaking, Trophies, Having a strong defence around him so he's no longer getting caught out firefighting , Warm weather.

He's made himself look stupid particularly this season leading directly to us conceding. He won't like that.

From our side his lack of concentration has made him a liability even though he's great on the ball. My speculation is he thinks himself too good for us and desperate firefighting in our open defence is not his style.

Great player, he's perfect for Real and they'll cough up properly imo

Don't kid yourselves, we absolutely cannot sell him. Levy would end up replacing him with someone half as good for half the money we get.

Davies will also be leaving in the summer, I don't trust that powers that be to replace him let alone Romero as a starter.

We should be doing all we can to keep hold of him, not consider selling.

How do we keep hold of a player that has openly questioned the ambition of the club?

Be a big miss bit ultimately losing Romero to Madrid isn't really a reflection of the club as they are the very pinnacle of club football and if they are really after him we could be as ambitious as we like and i doubt it would make one iota of difference to his decision.
