I agree, people seem to be having a pop that a grown man should be able to arrange his own flight which is true in isolation but as a prized asset from a big sporting institution we should be handling all of that stuff for him leaving the players to concentrate on the prep for the game.I do think this thing about the flights is a pretty perfect encapsulation of the club's priorities. Making him arrange his own commercial flight home rather than paying to fly him privately and get him back earlier so he can have more rest before a massive game. These details are what set us apart from other big clubs where sporting success is an absolute priority. For us, a lucrative friendly in on the other side of the world a couple of days after the season ends is of more importance than the small details that make the difference between winning and losing.
it doesn't really reflect greatly on Romero complaining about it after he was at fault for the goal but it certainly makes the club look cheap which we know from experience under this ownership it absolutely is cheap regarding the sporting element of it.
