Makes you wonder how much we're working on this as a unit, you know simulating counter attacking situations and how we cope defensively.

On yesterdays evidence, Id say not a lot.
I’ve watched them a couple of times live and pre match they work on organising the line as a unit quite a lot, assume they do it at training as well. Think Dragusin is still relatively new to the team and defended off instinct rather than holding his position in the unit.

So nice to be able to post in the Cuti thread again. And great to see him do everything possible in the first 10 minutes of Argentina v Chile to pick up the yellow card he needs to be suspended for the trip to Colombia next week. Unfortunately the ref's not having it yet.

Wasn’t his best season at Atalanta playing central in a back three, where he would often step in to midfield? I think if Ange were to tweak his tactics, he could be used like this again. Either that, or tell him not to push on and leave gaps. Have the deeper midfielder drop between the two cb’s as Dier did between Jan and Toby. I think Gray, eventually, will be comfortable doing this. Something has to be done tho, once again a glaring hole in our play that’s getting exploited.

There's a trend coming these day, where clubs (albeit the most privileged, ie Real), are giving players several small breaks mid season with other players to rotate.
Leaving players more fresh with a better work-life balance.
Think it's more and more unavoidable with there being no stop in the combined club/international football season.

Tell that to Arteta. Saka plays every game. Same for Rodri
