I think a lot of people are looking at things in a very black and white way. People make mistakes in life, the way Eriksen behaved in the last 6 months of playing for us was poor, but he wasn’t the only person playing badly.

Things obviously haven’t worked out in Milan for him, but again the world is in a turbulent time, settling in a new country and a new job under these conditions probably isn’t easy.

If he genuinely wanted to come back with a suitable attitude then I’d take him at the right price. Truth is we are one injury away from being very short in terms of creative talent, if we can get someone of Eriksen‘s quality then we should.

It should also be made clear to him that he’s not allowed to take corners.

Levy’s probably wondering if he can get him back at a discount now and then sell him on for a profit 12 months down the line.

That's the thing, most of us would forgive him and give him another chance, we're just not that into paying £90m+ for it over the next 4 years.

No one suggest it, but people that champion for him should be aware that it would be the cost, with Inters 40m valuation

We have already had ITK saying that we won’t pay that much for him. If inter want him off the books they will have to drop that price considerably imo.

I can't see us paying the money for him so soon after selling. The only reason I can think that we've been discussing Eriksen is because they have another payment to make on him and we're maybe working that into the Skriniar deal.

I mean Levy was willing to match any financial package offer from any other team to keep him, so I don't think that it's completely out of the question that a deal wouldn't be done if the numbers were right. If inter said pay back what we paid you then I can see it happening IF Eriksen is motivated to come back.

Eriksen will never get back to the level we fondly remember, he's just going through the motions now. I feel like he's done as a top class player. The bit in the docu where he said something along the lines of footballers being a commodity, told to go here go there get paid this much etc etc. was very telling.

I don't think he enjoys being a professional footballer these days, I could see him switching clubs a few times in the next few years, slowly fizzling out and eventually calling it quits having never again gotten close to the levels he did with us a few years ago.
We need a sad emoji response...

For his sake I hope this isn't the case. Such a talent. Good servant to the club. Left for more than we paid etc. Personally, I think we must have our eye on someone, since ITK says we acknowledge the need, but imagine him with Lo Celso and a fit Ndombele, behind Bale, Kane and Son...

And who is going to defend?

In all seriousness, this is really dumb. Eriksen was bad for us, we all thought it was because he was unhappy here but then he went to Inter and proceeded to be bad there after a dream move. He may just not be that good anymore.

Also, wages are a thing and the fact that there is young talent out there we should be targeting instead, big no for me.
