In another world, Eriksen realizes what he had at Tottenham, keeps working hard perfecting his craft, remains completely committed, becomes a club legend and reflects fondly after his career is over on all of the Audi Cups he won.

He may have beat the first man from that corner but some things never change..... losing a domestic cup semi final yet again ??

In the 2nd half he forced a very good save from the keeper with a 30 yard free kick. He then instinctively shot and forced Ospina into another good save. He looked dangerous going forward but also lost the ball in some dangerous positions and made half arsed attempts to get it back. It’s like he only wants to play in the final third and not work hard when his team isn’t in possession of the ball.

Not sure I see the point. I can't see him being motivated after finally getting his move away them coming back. Only he knows how he feels of course but I can't see it working.

2 poor seasons for us
sold him for circa £18m
he was so bad for Inter that they want to sell him 8 months later
Inter want circa £40m for him

There’s absolutely zero positives in signing him.

Considering Jose likes to play defensively with very hard working offensive players... how on Earth does a cba Eriksen fit into that? he doesn’t.

I don’t understand where this has come from. The guy didn’t want to be here 6 months ago, so why would we want him back.

We need players who want to be here and are motivated by the goals we’re trying to achieve.

He was a great player for us but it’s a definite no from me. I doubt there is any truth in it at all.

If anyone here thinks Daniel Levy will sell a player for 20m and buy him six months later for even one penny more then they are to 99% on the wrong track.

Eriksen played Levy and our board for months with not renewing his contract. There is no way all parties would come to an agreement here.

If you've watched the Doc today you can see Eriksens decision to leave was nothing to do with the club or the players he 100% had a plan for his career to try something different. Maybe his experience at Inter has shown him the grass isn't always greener. Having seen the training ground and the conditions our payers live in I don't think there is a better club for a professional to spend their day to day lives and maybe that realisation has hit him now and if he comes back 100% committed what a player we would have again.

If he's motivated (and that'd be down to Jose to establish) and he's available for the £16m we sold him for, it'd be a great signing. Forget the past, and look to the present: what playmaker of his ability can you sign for anywhere close to £16m? Never mind one that's Premier League proven and wouldn't need much time to bed in.

I don't think Inter would sell him for that price though, and I don't see Levy paying any more than the amount we sold him for, so I don't see it happening.

Doesn't make any sense at all now. Can't see Levy wanting to do it just based on what we've seen on All or nothing. No ill feelings towards him but he was poor for at least a year before he left.
