I was waiting for Sessegnon to just snap back at him. Strip Eriksen of his shirt if he stays past the window. No need to name him in the squad if this is how he performs and acts when he fucks up.
Unfortunately Sess has his orders from JM and played a restricted role. Shows Eriksen intelligence to know what the instructions were.

Pedulla reporting this, but I don't think he's particularly reliable. He says that Eriksen is due to travel to Milan for a medical on Monday. If true, it will be interesting to see if he's in the squad at all against Southampton.

I do hope so.
Thanks for the memories Christian but it's time to go.
Plus if he goes, we might look to get another in (although I admit, this is wildly optimistic!).

Sky Sports:

HOW CLOSE IS ERIKSEN MOVE?

Italian football expert Gianluca Di Marzio was the special guest on tonight's Transfer Show on Sky Sports News, and gave us the latest update on his thoughts on the progression on Christian Eriksen's move to Inter.

He said: “I think he will go. It’s a matter of price. Daniel Levy is tough and wants £20m, but there is a price. Inter know that with that, Eriksen will be an Inter player.

“They offered £15m plus some bonuses, and they’re very close. The player wants to go to Inter, has agreed personal terms in January for June, so it’s a matter of days and price.”

Best for all to move on. Thank you Christian, for a long time you were superb and an absolute joy to watch.

Sincerely hope it's true that his move is now imminent. Hopefully Herc's bit of info from a few days ago that we'd look at defensive midfield options if we were able to move him remains true.

Lots of claims now from Italian journos that the deal is done. E20m total, 15m + 5m bonuses. We'll see.

Eriksen is a player that I have wanted at Tottenham since his days at Ajax. When the summer came for him to actually join, I thought he was a player that really sent a signal to other clubs around Europe that we are a top destination for world class youngsters to take their game to the next level. When we clinched a deal for nearly 12m, I was elated. His time at Spurs was phenomenal; he scored plenty of goals, made some sublime passes and assists that most players in the world wouldn't have the creativity or vision for. Eriksen was becoming the player that he was advertised that he could be. Then over the last 18 months, all of that got erased. I was an Eriksen defender until I couldnt be anymore. Cant beat the first defender? Eh, no big deal. Went missing in a big game? Why can't anybody else step up...etc. It is a shame that it has come to a point that it has and we are celebrating getting a decent fee for him. Over the last 18 months, he has stopped putting in the same effort, delivering the moments of brilliance and his contract situation has put the club in an awful position. He is a player that will go down as a top player in the history of Tottenham but it wont be for a few years until we start to think of him that way again. It's a shame that this is how his exit is going down.

If this rat is still here come the 1st of February and we are still in the same boat with the lack of fresh blood that so we desperately need and Jose is still picking him to bottle out of challenges and not beat the 1st man from corners . Then I will spontaneously combust and take out half of Bournemouth with it ?

I kind of want him to stay now.

Tarnished all that he did good with his shitty attitude towards the end which is a real shame.

Still never understand with so much ability why you were so dog shit at corners :)

If he goes for what is talked about, then fair play to him. He could have easily have went for free. Pity he couldnt be arsed this season, or much of last season.
We have probably see the best of him to be fair.

Did you know that scoring from corners is very rare?

The stats bear out that 1 goal is scored every 7 games from corners.
