He's done more in his time with us to be considered a legend than Bale ever did.

The issue is that these last 8 months have seen a massive downturn in his application to his job. Something that the fans cannot abide.

He was very good at times for us, but he’s nowhere near a legend. Too passive, and all the personality of a potato.

Started talking to the missus about Eriksen and how this should have been sorted a long time ago as his affect on the team has been so detrimental .

She says “We have been having this conversation for over a year can we just stop now” That was me told. ?

Sounds like the same response Eriksen has been giving the board over a new deal

I agree hes been a fantastic player. But in my book you dont become a legend leaving on such terms hes likely to do.
Thanks for the memories and move him on.

thats why he needs to go now before his legacy is irreparably damaged.

Agree totally.
Becoming a legend isn't even to do with the time you've spent here, it's about how you've played and behaved.
Rafa is a fine example. Wasnt with us for long but genuinely loves us and didn't want to leave. Freund was a bit of a legend (for me) too because in a time of shit, he gave everything during every game and he clearly loved us.

Eriksen has been a brilliant player, over a long period of time but he's still just 'meh '.
I've never really felt that bond with him.

I'm looking forward to us moving on from Eriksen. He has been brilliant in the past but way too often for the last year he just hasn't looked interested.

Also, those corners :censored:

Hello everyone, Inter fan here in peace.

There seems to be some misconceptions about Vecino.

Vecino is a very particularly attack-minded CM with good athleticism but mediocre ball skills. He can be incredibly useful yet clumsy and frustrating at the same time.

Vecino is extremely direct and rapid in transitioning play into attack. Essentially, Vecino will get into good positions in between lines to receive a pass, then try to play it forward straight away, and run to join the attack. Vecino's movement and timing is excellent in these phases. This is his greatest strength and the reason every Inter coach appreciates him.

He excels at running forward into space with the ball and he's good in the air. Most importantly, he has a knack for scoring decisive goals, such as the game winner against Spurs last season, and the goal against Lazio in the final game of 2017-18 which put Inter into the Champions League.

He covers a lot of ground and his distance covered is up there with Brozovic (who runs 12.5km per game). Most of that running however, is in attacking shifts and covering for wide players pushing up. Vecino is unequivocally NOT a DM of any kind. He isn't someone who makes a midfield stronger defensively - unlike Barella for example.

He's very divisive among Inter fans. Many fans hate him for his clumsiness and lack of technique, others appreciate him for his big game goals and directness. On good days, he injects directness and pace to a teams attack with his style of play. However, on bad days he will turn the ball over incessantly.

Personally, I find him to be a great impact sub and I'd love to keep him as an attacking option off the bench. I wouldn't sell him for anything under €20M.

If he does go to Tottenham, I feel his style is suited to the EPL anyway. He certainly doesn't lack any stamina or speed. And from what I've seen of Mourinho's Spurs, you guys could really use a physical CM to make late runs into the box, attack lay-offs from Kane and provide another aerial threat in the box. etc

With Vecino, it's all about how and when to use him. For example, he's never going to unlock a tight defense with finesse and skill a la David Silva. I suspect Mourinho will really appreciate his attacking and physical skill set. If he can use Vecino well, I think he will acheive the same cult hero status he has at Inter.
Sounds like Sissoko! thanks for the info.

Mourinho said he understands the fans thoughts on eriksen’s performance against Liverpool because he didn’t have a good game.

Trying to push him out perhaps?

There is talk of Matias Vecino moving in the other direction via Erkisen...thats not a bad shout and will strengthen our midfield option along with Gedson Fernandes .

So I don't get into trouble it was reported on Sky ( I know)

Also some suggestion it could be Gabriel Barbosa who moves in the opposite direction. Ultimately, Eriksen is most definitely off, whether that’s this month or in the summer, that’s unavoidable. So if we could get someone in return for a player we lose for free in the summer anyway, bonus. It’s not like we’ll miss his input out on the pitch currently.

He's got a thread already, although the majority of contributors slightly disagree with your evaluation :)

His input on the pitch for a players of his standard is a gross misconduct. Ajax supporters commented he did the same thing before leaving them for us.

I really enjoyed watching Eriksen at his best in a Spurs shirt but now you can tell his hearts not in it...the best thing is for him to leave and i'm pretty sure deep down all Tottenham supporters wish him the best and just want this sorry ending over.
