Obviously not a question to the itk itself, but where does he draw the line on if he cant get a move to said club will he sign a contract? If the club dont go for him in Jan/Summer? I would hope it would be by next summer at the latest.

I'm sure his agent could sound out the club and see if they are interested or not and give them a deadline

Based on my understanding of levys policy since Campbell, I would say that if he hasnt signed by the summer then he will be leaving then. In our current financial situation you cant let an asset diminish in significant value.

Any of the euro giants can offer silverware, and huge wages. Doesn't make sense to me, that he'd hold out for only one particular club.

Based on this summer's policy that's no longer the case with Dembele, Llorente and Vorm leaving for free in the summer if they aren't sold in January

Bit different comparing 31+ yo players to a 26 year old in his prime though

We will find it easier replacing Eriksen than the likes of Modric, Carrick, Berbatov, Bale etc. We are a different proposition these days. CL regulars and showing we are paying good money.

Plus it's a key squad place, not trying to find someone to play second fiddle. Whilst I would absolutely love him to stay, I wouldn't be as concerned as in years gone by.

Eriksens dream move is Barca? Let’s be honest if Madrid also come calling I’m sure he’d still be interested. Very hard to turn down either of those clubs especially after playing at Spurs for a few years and giving his all. Obviously I want him to stay but if he ends up going for big money and we invest the money it’s all part of the process of moving the club forward. However if he leaves and DL don’t give Poch the money to spend I’ll lose my shit along with everyone else.

£100M and Asensio would soften the blow...

Since when have one of our top players leaving us cause catastrophe the answer is never ;when Greaves ;Carrick ; Berbatov* ; Bale **; Sherringham left the club far from collapsing we went on to improve from where we were when they were at the club.
Possibly Sherringham was the biggest gap not filled with good enough player/players.

*2 points from 8 games, losing at home to Sunderland and Hull
**AVB losing the plot, thrashed by West Ham at home, then Sherwood taking over

But, yeah, it was fine after we'd gone through a couple of managers.

Levy doesn't know how to spend £100m in the market, so what's the point?

He'd spend it on "The Greatest Boules Green in Europe" for our OAP members.

Which, of course, would be lovely for them. I'm not disputing that.

£50M+ offer for Sancho and £50M+ for NDombele

Easy :)

Is it?

I literally have no idea what players are worth anymore. Does £50m get you Sancho? No idea tbh, and he's more of a winger.

We'd need a playmaker if Eriksen goes. I'd be more inclined to get NDombele (which we should be doing anyway, to replace Dembele) and that kid from Austria (Wolf) as a punt.

The "one club" seems romantic to me. IMO he'd leave us for Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Juve, PSG and potentially even United or City.

I love him, but wouldn't begrudge him a move to one of the giants abroad. I also don't think it'd be as catastrophic as others seem to if he were to move on. Just bring back Pritchard.

FWIW CIES football observatory currently rate Sancho at 88m Euros and Eriksen at 77m euros.
Eriksen value falling every month.
