I still don’t get how Inter is an improvement over us.

The Italian league is not what it was.

It’s not in footballing terms, but him and his family get to live in Milan and experience a different culture etc. I’m guessing that’s where it appeals to him.

Did they and can they offer more than we allegedly did though?

Some of our trusted ITK said he was being offered around the 200k per week mark, would Inter offer that as I thought Italian league wasn’t so rich nowadays?

I wish him all the best.

Hopefuly he can reignite his inner fire though, as last few months he was completly out of form mentally. It reminds me a bit of Sanchez situation, when he left mid-season to United, while he was out of form for 6 months prior to the transfer. Eriksen's younger and will propably recover, he never relied on pace like Sanchez did (and who lost some of it around that time), but it might turn out that not re-signing him on massive wages might not turn out to be a blunder.

He is roumouerd to be on £120,000 a week from Italian reports and that will be after tax. Cant find any real concrete sources.

When he decided to leave Tottenham and the PL, he probably thought of RM and Barcelona. When those options dried up, It's then either Juventus, Bayern Munich or possibly PSG. After the, Inter is probably the best option. A cool place to live, decent pay package, great stadium and fan base.

Not an outright footballing upgrade, but for someone who wants a change? Very nice indeed.

Ironically, I think Eriksen's drop in form actually made us a heap of money. If he'd been pulling up trees for the past 18 months I could see RM or Barca being in his ear and telling him to hold out for a Bosman. Because he played pretty poorly though, I think they dropped all interest which opened the door for Inter. I think Levy played a blinder though, probably convincing Inter that they had one shot at getting him and it would cost 17m. Can only assume Conte thought he was getting the Eriksen he was up against at Chelsea.

I've been to Rome and I thought it was fantastic if Milan is anything like that then it is appealing . I'm from bedford so we grow ip around Italians and I do like their culture and way of life. I London too I've just come back from a weekend in London but if it was Rome vs London it would be Rome.cant speak for Milan

If he really just cared about the money, he would have sat on his ass for 5 months and cashed in a huge sign-on fee.
