Thanks Christian, now it's time to soar again.

Be graceful and win something.

Bye. ❤

Don't agree with that. He's been holding out for his own personal gain at the cost of the club for a couple of transfer windows. Not just by not being able to shift him but because they couldn't bring players in while he was there. Something changed, I'm sure he was planning on running his contract all the way down but maybe he realised how unpopular he was becoming with his "performances". If he'd been playing his socks off for the last year I'd feel warmer towards him but I'm over the moon to see the back of him and over the moon to finally end the saga that this turned into.

What you or I feel is irrelevant in this case, imo. He's been here since 2013 and has produced a lot of points and great moments. The moment should take farewell of an employee properly. It's just one proper post and then they are done with it, not that difficult to show some respect.

However, they have now updated with a better sendoff so it's fine.

Prepared for a plethora of negative ratings for this, but I always said asking the Premier League to award *that* goal against Stoke to Harry Kane in April 2018 when it had been given as Eriksen's was a stupid idea and would be a serious kick in the teeth to Eriksen, and I stand by that.

Whose goal it actually was is irrelevant and I've no interest in debating it. It's unheard of for a club to try and get a goal taken off one of their own players, and for good reason.

I'm not pinpointing that as the moment his motivation and performances took a downturn... I'm saying it may not be a coincidence that that's around the same time his obvious decline in wanting to be here began.

I'm not sad he's gone, he didn't want to be here, and so it's best he be allowed to leave. But I'm sad it ended the way it did, because for such a long time he was my favourite Spurs player.

Think some are a bit harsh with the last 18 months thing. I seem to remember, without looking it up, that the start of last season was one of our best in a long time. And although our play wasn't at the heights of the previous few years, it was a bloody lot better than the first half of this season. We, Erkisen included, only started falling off a cliff when we tried our best to give away top four while somehow falling arse over tit into the Champions League final. It was then I knew things were over with us and Christian, when his effort fell dramatically it seemed, major blunders regularly crept into his performances, and a few of his comments were rather off and like he was no longer committed. It should have ended there, as many have said; these last few months have really not helped. But I think it's fair to say we had 6 good years from him, and probably about 4 years of him at his peak, which is the same amount of time as Modric's entire stay with us. So it is the end of an era for sure, and a sad farewell from me.

I bought his kit when we got him in 2013. Was in the stadium when he scored that worldy against PSG in the ICC a couple of years ago.

He was my first real Spurs man-crush. Ill miss him.

Godspeed you glorious bastard.

If I remember correctly our form dipped after Dembele left, and truthfully a little before then as he was injured. CE did have some good games after that, with some crucial goals and passes, however overall our form, and his, has been off for over a year now, probably not quite 18 months, but probably 14-15.

Brilliant from Levy also to squeeze the fat end of 17m out of what is effectively 6 months of Christian Eriksen. Thought he'd do well to get 10m tbh.

He looks his usual delighted self to have joined Inter.

I still hope he excells there and one day gets his dream Spanish move.
