Inters form has been incredible this season and obviously have an upward trajectory. With the introduction of Eriksen they could be another step closer to winning that league, which im sure he's well aware of. All the best to him, just grateful he isn't staying in the prem.

Juve will win the league now they've got 4 points clear. They have a natural born winner in Ronaldo along with a load of others - signing somebody who has learned the art of perennially losing with us isn't going to tip the scales for them.

As someone mentioned on last page our biggest concern should be Barcelona or another tempt him on a free so we get lumped with him and JM keeps picking him, which he would for some unknown reason.
This Barcelona interest could just be agents generating interest to push it through. Who knows?
Whatever happens we need him gone pronto.

Lordy ,Guardian is reporting CE starts on 260k/week at inter rising to 320k . (figures are pounds) wtf !

How can Inter afford these prices , they have that much of a turnover advantage over us ?

Italian clubs agree deals in net, and they have favourable new tax laws for mega earners like footballers. I'm pretty sure the figures the guardian are using have been grossed up based on UK tax (around 50%). Inter's outlay will be less.

That's correct, Eriksen will get 50% of his salary tax free.

Inter only need to pay him a paltry (!) £200k pw for him to net £150k, which was the mooted figure.

NDombele and Kane are both on £200k pw, Kane's deal with bonuses takes him to £300k, so no doubt our offer would have matched Inter's.

I get why we're all pissed off at Eriksen for phoning it in for 18 months, his behaviour and performance around the CL final, and his presumptuous statement to the press last summer.

I've gone from annoyed to sanguine about the whole thing.

I think his dream all along was probably to play for Barca / Madrid.

Once that didn't happen, I think he also had a goal of playing and living in a different country whilst still at his peak. If he leaves for Inter for that contract, we can safely assume that's the case.

And why not? Sounds like a great thing to do with your life. People take jobs abroad all the time to have those experiences.

Shame how his career with us tailed off, and with it his legacy, but good luck to him and we move on with Lo Celso.

He wanted a step up but nothing came of it so now he goes for money. At Inter he might win a title in his first 6 months too.

More referring to years to come, although I think it'll be a tight finish this year. A motivated on form Eriksen would take them to another level.

They've got more chance of winning silverware in the near future than us tbf
That's possible but when was the last time they got to the Champion's league final? We might be a bit away from that but if Baldy actually backs Mourinho do you not think we might win something?

Yes we (hopefull) might win something but tbf to Eriksen he just wants a change of scenery. Can't really begrudge him of that - he's been with us since he was 21.

I don't begrudge him for anything. If anything it's our fault we let his contract get to 6 months. Poor planning by the club for sure. I remember 2 years ago ITK's were saying he probably wouldn't sign another contract. The biggest mistake we made was not agreeing a deal for him to go in the summer. His form isn't there now which is a shame and I hope he moves on and can reignite his career elsewhere. Just surprised he wants to go to Inter Milan and not a bigger more current team.

Always find it funny that people use one goal against Brighton as some sort of counter to his performances over the past 18 months. Sure, he’s contributed to a few goals but what about the tens of challenges he’s pulled out of, hundreds of sloppy passes and just generally a complete waste of a body on the pitch?
