I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that was one of the weakest displays I’ve seen from a player for our club. He just cannot play for us anymore. We will be so much better (as we saw) by playing someone like Lamela or Lo Celso in his place. I am so disappointed in him; once my favorite player, now this.

You could visibly see that he didn't want to be there. He certainly didn't want the ball under any kid of pressure. It was damning.

Rose similarly was just atrocious, although I think a lot of that was just no confidence.

Funny that we looked much better with 11 committed players on the pitch at the end, regardless of those players' flaws or inexperience.

He has no mojo left for us thats been very clear end of last andwhole of this season, no energy, no desire jst coasting at best and cant even pass anymore and thats his speciality . Get him out quickly and shouldnt play from the start at all, can potentially bring something diff if used as sub and changeour style to allow him on the ball.

I'm probably going to get lambasted for this...But I feel we're being a tad harsh on the lad.

He's never been 1 who puts his foot in regardless of whether he was in form or not.Tackling has never been his best suit.

During his best years with us he's always been in the front 4 or attacking 3.. roaming to link up play and shoot from distance. He was the link man that made us tick.

Even when he's in the number 8 role, he's always been paired with a ball winning mid. We havnt had once since dembele left/wanyama got crocked. Pair him with anyone else, he seems like a power puff girl.

Sure he isn't in his best form atm or the past yr but our downturn in form coincides with the lack of foresight/investment in the replacement of the moose and wanyama.

Based on itk from herc he's informed the club that he won't sign a new contract and hes been nothing but professional and respectful to the club(unlike rose). I won't begrudge him for that and thank him for his wonderful service when he moves on.

Meh, his performances haven't been very professional for awhile.

There is nothing professional about his performances or his application for a long time. It's been said so many times but look at how Ramsey performed right until he left arsenal and that tells you a lot about his character. Eriksen on his day is quality but he's tarnished whatever legacy he thinks he may have left

Ramsey is an all action/effort gung ho box to box mf ,Eriksen is a languid technical no 10.. with decent work rate clever movement and an eye for a pass.. he's never been be the type that takes the game by the scruff of the neck, or drop a shoulder and beat his man.

I know he hasn't exactly crowned himself in glory.. But the squad in general hasnt done itself any favours with their performances

We havnt had a decent ball winner /press resistant mid since the departure of dembele and the injury/loss of form for dier and wanyama. There's no one in the cm position to get him the ball in positions where he can cause damage.

Poch or/and levy have to take the blame for the lack of balance in the squad and allowing key cogs to leave without replacements

Mate have you seen his performances for the last 13/14 months??? Nowhere near professional. Jesus, if a youth team player repeatedly couldn’t get a corner past the 1st man there would be a mass call on here to let him got to lge 1let alone for someone else to take them. The fact someone with CEs talent has repeatedly hid in the big games (look at his performances in the CL semifinals and final - shite) is anything but professional. He’s not as good as he thinks he is otherwise he’d have had his desired move.

I see where you are coming from and to be honest our tactics just do not help, people seem to disregard that. Having said that and ive been a supported of him and his 'demeanour' for a while his performance yesterday was a bit shit. I do feel like he isnt entirely to blame, if youre stuck somewhere you dont want to be it is difficult to be motivated you still train and play but it is nigh on impossible to give 100%.

It is best for both parties to just draw a line and end this once and for all... even if we lose out on a couple of million or so.

Hello everyone, Inter fan here in peace.

There seems to be some misconceptions about Vecino.

Vecino is a very particularly attack-minded CM with good athleticism but mediocre ball skills. He can be incredibly useful yet clumsy and frustrating at the same time.

Vecino is extremely direct and rapid in transitioning play into attack. Essentially, Vecino will get into good positions in between lines to receive a pass, then try to play it forward straight away, and run to join the attack. Vecino's movement and timing is excellent in these phases. This is his greatest strength and the reason every Inter coach appreciates him.

He excels at running forward into space with the ball and he's good in the air. Most importantly, he has a knack for scoring decisive goals, such as the game winner against Spurs last season, and the goal against Lazio in the final game of 2017-18 which put Inter into the Champions League.

He covers a lot of ground and his distance covered is up there with Brozovic (who runs 12.5km per game). Most of that running however, is in attacking shifts and covering for wide players pushing up. Vecino is unequivocally NOT a DM of any kind. He isn't someone who makes a midfield stronger defensively - unlike Barella for example.

He's very divisive among Inter fans. Many fans hate him for his clumsiness and lack of technique, others appreciate him for his big game goals and directness. On good days, he injects directness and pace to a teams attack with his style of play. However, on bad days he will turn the ball over incessantly.

Personally, I find him to be a great impact sub and I'd love to keep him as an attacking option off the bench. I wouldn't sell him for anything under €20M.

If he does go to Tottenham, I feel his style is suited to the EPL anyway. He certainly doesn't lack any stamina or speed. And from what I've seen of Mourinho's Spurs, you guys could really use a physical CM to make late runs into the box, attack lay-offs from Kane and provide another aerial threat in the box. etc

With Vecino, it's all about how and when to use him. For example, he's never going to unlock a tight defense with finesse and skill a la David Silva. I suspect Mourinho will really appreciate his attacking and physical skill set. If he can use Vecino well, I think he will acheive the same cult hero status he has at Inter.

Thanks for the info and good luck with the title race.

He's done more in his time with us to be considered a legend than Bale ever did.

The issue is that these last 8 months have seen a massive downturn in his application to his job. Something that the fans cannot abide.

Even during his best patches of form with us,he's never been able to beat that first man ??

Neither of them are legends if you ask me. That term is thrown about too much.

He and Rose should never pull on our shirt again, the way they wander round the pitch barely trying is an embarrassment

Started talking to the missus about Eriksen and how this should have been sorted a long time ago as his affect on the team has been so detrimental .

She says “We have been having this conversation for over a year can we just stop now” That was me told. ?
