If he was playing the way he currently is while at another club, and we were linked with him, would you even want him?
Yes, since I don't have the memory of a goldfish. When motivated and on form, he's up there with De Bruyne as the best AM in the league.

I still hold on to a sliver of hope that he wises up and signs, but most realistically he's off to a club in southern Europe on a free next summer.

Agree.

Was ridiculous considering the amount of time and effort we put in to get him then he wasn’t ever given a proper chance.

He was fast and he could pass but it was the time of the slow build ups,he was another cog in the wheel that just recycled the ball as there was little room. Maybe if he was at the end of some of these Toby long balls,in the space that Son and Dele get,his pace could have been fantastic and he did have ball control. He was bought at a time when Levy just found a player to buy.Poch on the other hand didnt play the any of the players best qualities,he had them all as part of his rigid system. That's why some of them feel liberated now. Nkoudoo may not have been a presser or his defensive work maybe not there. Its not the end of the world if you can create goals, but again as you said he wasnt given a proper chance

Changed the game completely again. The desire is back in him and did more in 5 minutes than Winks did the whole game. Majestic pass to the 2-1 goal. ????

To be fair to Winks, Eriksen wasn't tasked with trying to get some control in a midfield flooded with Brighton players.

Correct.

Almost amazing how people are set on criticising Winks for everything - not noticing we changed our formation when Sessegnon went off - clearly making it easier for the midfield to mach up Brighton (leaving us slightly more exposed at the back - which obviously was an acceptable risk to take at that point in the game).

Not to mention having fresh legs always helps.

The ball to Serge, for Alli's goal, was a thing of beauty. It almost slowed down as it reached him.
I almost groaned when he came on but he played well, so all credit to him. I'd love for him to rediscover his passion and stay with us, as he really is a special player... When he can be bothered.

The sad thing is, even though i want him gone already at this point, we’ll be fucked when he leaves as we still havent learned to play without him. Really need to integrate GLC into the first XI.

Will we though? We have Glc and a 60m player sitting on the bench who cant get a look in for some reason and it aint because they are shit. Whats going on?

Almost amazing people don’t realise they need to defend every single winks performance because he is awful in nearly everyone of them stop making excuses for him

He really isnt awful. He looks like a real footballer and he does some good things but...overall he is not anything special. If he does something great one day they all drawl over him as if he is the second coming.

I don't mind people criticising Winks, but if he is that bad why do some feel the need to invent things that never happened during the game?

For me he is still a young player. I don't think he has more than about 40 starts in the PL. I'm not going to pass my final judgement on him before he has consistently played regularly for awhile. Now he is treated almost like jesus coming here to save us from average midfield players. He is not that talented. I still think he can be a very good PL player, but he is not Roy Keane.
