The tradegy is he might well get his move to Spain but it will be in the full knowledge that no one in Spain was at all interested in paying for him. Feels like the oldest profession in the world and you’re having to give it away because you’re an old slapper and no f##ker wants to pay for it.

It's got to be a balance. Lots of ifs, but, if he can continue to put good passes in like vs olympiakos, then I'd still give him a role in the team. Could be the difference between a quarter final or a semi.... ok, no, if he continues then I could be the difference between no europa and.... oh, wait. Fuck it, fine him 6 months wages for being a stroppy minge and get rid?

Hazard and Ramsey helped their respective teams when they were leaving, it could be the same situation with Eriksen.

Hazard had a year left on his contract, so Chelsea could command a fee - he gave his all, but didn't run down his contract

Ramsey had been at the club for nearly ten years and had near career ending tackle - Arsenal under Wenger allowed him to get to the last year of his contract, and i'm sure Emery didn't want the headache of losing a midfield regular as a new manager, so kept him on for a year, given lack of alternatives

E potentially may have uses, but he is being proper cock lets be fair, plus the way he is playing he really is piss poor, even dier passes better than him at the moment and that just says it all. Agree with fining him too :)

I was being tongue in cheek. But it's too little too late in many ways. But if he can replicate some form, we may as well use him if he can make a difference this season, as and when required. But in balance to blood in whomever takes his spot.

We should try and get him the move to Real Madrid in January, even if we get £20-£25m for him.
Either that or get a couple of their youngsters in exchange.

I don’t see why Real Madrid would give us anything for him in January when they can get him for nothing in 6 months. It’s not as though they’re desperate for him after all.

If Real are going to offer contract we should let them have him in January so as to save on 6 months of wages. That’s about the best outcome we can hope for in financial terms.

Exactly that, he could help them now.

also, securing a deal now rather then compete with others offering free contracts in January.

Well if CE is definitely off then he should only be used if desperately needed! Give Lo Celso much more time!

I think the attraction of CE to Madrid is they can get him on a free

mans his wages despite being free probably won’t be as crazy as Ramsey etc given he is desperate to go there and be a sub

seems like a nice to have Mcmanaman type of signing than a must have for them
