Eriksen is not getting most of the blame for our poor form but he epitomises why we are in such poor form. As above, Burnley away was a shocking performance and there haven’t been many better ones since then, other than the odd piece of magic, which we all know he’s more than capable of.

I notice that most of the staunch defenders of Eriksen have been quiet in here recent weeks after banging on about he’s world class and we should pay him whatever he wants just because we turned it around against Villa after he came on (which was nothing really to do with him). If Poch had the ruthlessness and integrity he once had, Eriksen would never play for this great club again.

Interesting. First post and it is to knock those members of SC that support one of our players.

Apologies, I won’t use a Spurs forum to give my opinion about a Spurs player and the Spurs fans commenting on said player in future.

I’m not digging out anyone in particular but I’ve been a long time lurker on the forum and for me Eriksen has been far below his best for a long time and the praise that was lauded over him after the villa game was laughable. We all want the Eriksen of old but it looks like we’re not going to get that anymore given he can’t even seem to play anything other than a 2 yards sideways pass these days.

Why is Poch still playing him?

From Eriksen’s quotes I get the impression the players are struggling under the weight of expectation.

I wouldn’t put it past them, they arent the toughest bunch.

One thing that has really started to creep in of late (or maybe it's always been there) are references to "what do all of the fans of so and so player have to say now..." or "people who have been defending the form of so and so player have gone quiet". At the end of the day, it should not be about "see I told you so" because a lot of the game is about opinions and we are all just concerned about what's best for the club. It's very polarising and we get enough of that outside of Spurs chat and in life in general.

Can't wait to see the back off him
Me too and I never thought I’d say that - can’t go quick enough for me and I hope Poch exiles him from the squad between now and his move.

I doubt Madrid will want him given his latest performances and I reckon he’ll end up at Juve on a free in the summer or for nominal amount in January.

While I agree its not nice to see "I told ya so", there are posters on here who seen exactly what Eriksen was doing, as he had done it before with Ajax. It seems all good and well to criticize Levy and the club, as they are fair game, but if you even suggest a player is clearly not putting a shift in and wants out you get criticized for not getting behind the team.

So yeah, I told you so .

I would be surprised if many people don't think that he should now be separated from the first team. It's just that whole "I'm so knowledgeable and I could see this ages ago but no one agreed with me" type of post that is a bit tiresome. Some people are just more patient and don't like to rush to quick judgments.

I fear we'll end up as Arsenal and letting Eriksen go and then go on and fucking moan on how we could let him go...
We really aren't "letting him go", (short of kidnapping) are we?
Moreover, hasn't the Eriksen we knew & loved already gone? For about a calendar year now?
The good ship Eriksen has left the harbor, boys! Bon voyage!
