It hurts right now, and it's not cool how he's been, but in time, I believe we will look back in fondness at his time here which, the majority of it was classy.

So say he did care - how would the penalty have been different? I mean he struck it and he saved it. I mean what else could he have done (bar scoring obviously)

I do think he is stinking the place out a bit though, his performances have been shocking to say the least

It just looks like he hasnt spent any time practicing them since the last couple he missed.

I won't remember him for the good things if he continues to swan around half arsed and sulk whilst under contract and getting paid by the club.

He's pocketing hard earning supporters money right there and if he doesn't put an honourable shift in I definitely won't be lookin back on his time with positive memories. It's been rather pathetic watching someone so talented develop a chip on his shoulder. To allow himself to become poisonous at the club who gave him his chance to build his reputation is pathetic. I think a lot less of him as a guy these days, that's a sad state of affairs.

He’s Berbatov levels for me. I can’t stand him to be honest! Quality player of course but not close to being a legend at our club. Just another who passed through at best, at worst a slippery bastard who disrespected the club. It happens though, that’s football

I wouldn’t have him in the match day squads from now on. I said halfway through the second half last night that if it goes to penalties he will miss. He just doesn’t give a fuck and doesn’t want to be here. We should have taken any cash for him in the summer. Now we simply have to move him on in January which is miles away.

Did anyone put an offer in? I don't remember if they did or not. This whole shenanigans is confusing me!

Nah - you're wrong pal. So are the two (surprisingly) Danish posters who agree with your little outburst. We pay this guy 100k a week or whatever, and he can't be bothered to even run anymore. He's downed tools, just because his dream club didn't want him.

He thinks he's bigger than us and he's sorely mistaken. He now actively wants to fuck us over and leave for free and this year he's going to put in the minimum effort because his childish little fantasy career plan hasn't gone quite as he expected. We have had, do have and will have better players than him - if he thinks he's above putting the effort in for us, he can get fucked.

He's missed two penalties out of 10 for Denmark - I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he's missed every single penalty for us? I can't wait for Lo Celso to take his place. As it stands, Lamela should absolutely be first choice for the no10 position.
He definitely needs a long spell on the sidelines. Shades of Ozil right now but at least we’re not paying him £300,000 per week to be shit most the time

I doubt anyone here knows for sure, but I'd have thought there would be buyers at £30-40m in this market. Reports were that Levy was looking for £100m+ a year or two ago.

You'd also imagine somebody would have snapped up Toby for 25m, but nobody did.

He absolutely deserves to be dropped but the problem is that with Lo Celso sidelined we don't really have many options in the squad that would allow for it.

Lamela's fitness has to be managed very carefully so naturally he can't play every match. The only other fit playmaker in the squad is Eriksen, so it's very difficult to ostracize him entirely at the moment. You can see why Poch wanted one more player along the lines of Ceballos, Bruno, Dybala etc. in the summer. One injury to Lo Celso and we're stuck in a position of reliance on Eriksen for creativity, and we have absolutely no business relying upon him in current form.

I think Poch needs to get creative and either push Ndombele up into an attacking position or drop Kane back to a No. 10 role when Lamela isn't on the pitch. We can't persist with Eriksen, he's dragging the whole team down with his play.

It does takes some balls to step up for another penalty, I'll give him that. Think he's missed 4 out of the 5 last I've seen him take.
Meh. He was once seen as one of the best strikers of a dead ball in the league. His free kicks terrified opponents. You'd think penalties would be piss easy to a player of his calibre. It shows how far he's fallen.

And if (big if) there's truth to that Mail article, off to the reserves with him.

Reserves? Garden leave more like. I would suggest his attitude may be poisoning the dressing room.

He’s just showing his poor mentality tbh.

Real Madrid didn’t want him in the summer and you’d think he’d then play his socks off to make them want him, but he’s doing absolutely nothing to make them start having lusty stares at him.

Doesn’t show enough for one of the truly big teams to want him as he doesn’t have that winning mentality.

Eriksen has to be shunned now, it seems like we don't have a choice. None of this bench bollocks.

Just play any combinations of Ndombele, Winks, Alli, Lamela, Lucas, Son and Kane until Lo Celso is back.

Honestly if i was a teammate of his I would advise him to stay out of my way. That he is unhappy with the club is one thing, but to let down teammates and presumably long term friends so dismissively just speaks volumes to me about him as a man.

We messed up. Send him away. Bite the bullet. I rather play Dier than Eriksen. As frustrating Dier can be I never question his will to win.

In most games we will have the more talented team regardless if Eriksen is playing. We can’t beat the likes of Newcastle just because Eriksen is left out and Lo Celso injured? First you need the right mentality then you can start to talk about having enough top end talent.

Hopefully we will learn from this and not hang on to the likes of Eriksen again. I would have rather had 10m on the last day of the window than watching Pochettino play Eriksen for the rest of the season.
