Yeah. I have to agree here. There’s been numerous times in recent games I’ve noticed him do something particularly infuriating that is nothing to do with skill, but is everything to do with lack of awareness, caring, effort, not being switched on, not attempting to chase down a gettable ball, etc.
Application based stuff.

I’ve defended him in the past, and it’s becoming very difficult to continue to do so.
Absolute trash lately.
Yeah, that's been it for me too.
He has the ability, we know he has the ability but he just seems to lack any sort of grit or drive.

He has to play as we have no other option. Without him our right side is non existent and we're so easy to defend against.
We can play Deki there as we have many times this season. Even Werner is more effective there. Spence would a better job there. Ange would do a better job there.

i take it you were happy with son's performance last night then?
He is right though, technically speaking and on thr face of it, you can't win a game without scoring a goal.

Unfortunately, football isn't as black and white as that, you need to defend and put work in to help score, but also to stop the opposition from doing the same.

It's a weird take given what we see week in and week out

Wonder if it's worth putting a call into forest to see if they have any interest in taking him back, he could do very well again in nunos system.
We could get a decent chunk of our cash back and use that as start of fund for the summer

No one will be paying anywhere near what we paid for him. He’s a £15m player tops and we paid nearly £50m.

He just looks mentally shot at the moment. Looked terrified last night. Bizarre. There's definitely a fighter in there somewhere. He showed it often enough in his Forest days. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hopefully he continues to score at a similar rate. If he ends the season on 12 Prem goals, then we shouldn't have any problems moving him on for a decent fee. We should be able to get £30 million for a 24 year old who scored double figures. I could see a Palace or Bournemouth potentially being interested if they sell one or two of their better players in the summer.

And both would be a good step up for him as both likely to finish ahead of us.........half joking half not

Is there a fighter in there? Shown no fighting spirit since he got here.

It is mental that our top scorer is one of my least favourite players. He’s on pace for a 20 goal season and he still frustrates the life out of me. Bizarre player and situation.

To me this represents the core of the Ange in or out debate. Basically you either see it as we are a really attacking team, that creates so many potentially good attacking situations, that is badly let down by the quality of it's wide forwards, as they should be scoring 20 goals each and double figure assists. Or the way Ange wants to play is the problem, as it makes us too vulnerable. Personally I don't think we should judge Ange without seeing his team with top quality wide forwards, as I'm in the camp that thinks Johnson and Werner are nowhere near good enough and the fact Johnson has scored 7 says to me that a Salah or prime Sonny would already be on 15 in this set up.

We play a very high risk game and key to making it work is for our forwards to do more damage, with the favourable oppotunites they get due to our style, than the opposition do to us given how risky continually playing out is. Johnson and Werner can't beat players so are useless when we dominate the ball and teams sit back and though both are fast, don't have the finishing or crossing skill to take advantage of the speed of our transitions. So despite scoring alot of goals this season, we actually don't score anywhere near as many as our system should. Hence teams do more damage to us, than we do to them. So it's either sack Ange or buy better wide options.

I am starting to think he threw the towel in on these tactics and his role in the team a long time ago. No idea why I am giving him the benefit of the doubt, but we are such a mess on the pitch. He's so limited though, I suspect the next manager will want rid.

He's really not a very good footballer, has a great knack for scoring goals but it is not enough.

i am sick of watching him in the same way i was sick of watching Sessegnon you can't help but notice his lack of desire and confidence, it is horrible to see.

that bit of fire he had post the social media stuff has been distinguished again.
