Well in the first half we looked like a team playing with three men down.Absolutely clueless. Basically playing a man down

An early moment when he came on summed him up.
We won a throw in the arse half, Porro looked to take it quickly and instead of offering himself, he pulled up a sock and then walked across in front of Porro with his head down, not even looking.
There was no effort at all to make himself available and make something happen, he just hid in plain sight and slowed everything down.
His goals don't really mean anything when he's offering absolutely nothing else at all.
I may have run out of patience with him tonight, it's been coming but he's just not showing any effort at all.
Deki puts in a shift every game, Brennan doesn’t.Well in the first half we looked like a team playing with three men down.
Deki was being bullied by an 18 year old left back.
I thought the same but he's just a liability now. He's just so negative with everything he does. He's only useful when Deki is on it as he masks his weaknesses.I think he has a role within this squad.
But he cannot be starting games unless we have the right profile on the left. That means Son not starting.
Its not working.
He's looking like another poor bit of squad building.
He has to play as we have no other option. Without him our right side is non existent and we're so easy to defend against.Deki puts in a shift every game, Brennan doesn’t.
Deki has looked knackered for the last 4 weeks but keeps getting played.
I think he'd be good upfront in a 442 big man little man partnership but no one plays like that anymore. He’s not a winger in my book. I don’t really know what he is.
Not for me I'm afraid mate, I've spent a lot of time in this thread defending Johnson but tonight was enough.I made it a point to watch Kulusevski and later Johnson closely.
Do you know how many times Johnson arrived in the 6 yard box without service? 9.
He defended all the way back 3 times to our box covering for Porro, who was once again nowhere to be seen for large portions of the game, and it’s something Kulusevski didn’t do the entire first half.
Kulusevski played the same position in the first half and was just as anonymous, if not more. He wasn’t defending, he didn’t create anything.
I get it, everyone needs a scapegoat, but the entire team bar Bergvall, Gray and Kinsky were atrocious. And I think the tactics are to blame here.
The space Johnson and Kulusevski are supposed to work in (cutting inside from the wing) is ALWAYS occupied by Porro. I say it once again, inverting the fullbacks is an absolutely moronic idea. It stifles our attackers, and kills our defensive structure + ability.
I’d rather routledge than him. Townsend was twice the player that Johnson is. Probably our biggest waste of money.I'm struggling to think of a worse winger we've had, key word winger, and no Werner is better. He actually beats or takes on his man and actually makes use of his pace.
We basically had to pay a player who cost more to leave. So he is not biggest, but we rarely get expensive signings right.I’d rather routledge than him. Townsend was twice the player that Johnson is. Probably our biggest waste of money.

I'm not talking about Deki or anyone else, I'm talking purely about Brennan and he's just not doing anything at all.
If you watched him closely, you'll have seen the throw in that I was talking about because it was in the first couple of minutes that he came on.
That was shockingly shit and there's no escaping that.
Its not about needing a scapegoat, it's not about tactics or anything, it's about seeing players bust a gut during our local derby and Johnson just didn't.
And it's a cumulative decision for me, this was just the icing on the cake.
It's the not wanting the ball that annoys me. All he wants to dois to run in behind when there's usually no space and when he does receive it, he just plays it first time. Not for me I'm afraid mate, I've spent a lot of time in this thread defending Johnson but tonight was enough.

It's really unedifying when the forum gets a scapegoat, every single match they're the focus and posters seem to revel in it. He was ok tonight when he came on, we had much bigger issues than him.I made it a point to watch Kulusevski and later Johnson closely.

Sadly of the same opinion. I know he's young, but he's a quite experienced player now and he's just not offering enough at all, which is why he's rightly getting left out of lineups. If Odobert hadn't gotten crocked then I'm not sure how many minutes he'd currently be getting.Yeah. I have to agree here. There’s been numerous times in recent games I’ve noticed him do something particularly infuriating that is nothing to do with skill, but is everything to do with lack of awareness, caring, effort, not being switched on, not attempting to chase down a gettable ball, etc.
Application based stuff.
I’ve defended him in the past, and it’s becoming very difficult to continue to do so.
Absolute trash lately.
I disagree, he and Son are our biggest issues right now. They can't hold the ball up under pressure and teams can leave them 1 vs 1 knowing they won't/can't take them on.It's really unedifying when the forum gets a scapegoat, every single match they're the focus and posters seem to revel in it.
