I have always said slagging players off is the most effective way of getting them firing :cautious:

the lads on fire in front of goal and showing the confidence to go past his man.

His performances in the last 4 games speak for themselves.

We won at Old Trafford and Johnson was a huge part of that. Enjoy it tonight.
Exactly this. Enjoy it, no need to be a dick about it. There’s a lot of this flying around the site at the moment and it’s really pathetic.

Anyway back to Brennan, 4 in 4 since sacking off the socials and today I’m seeing a much better all round display. Confidence is a powerful thing - long may this form continue. Maybe he should mentor Werner………………

Almost got a second too which was an identical chance to the midweek goal and the one he scored vs Brentford. Far too similar to be happenstance.

He is so good at what he does that he should actually be scoring more. Against Qarabag, after he scored the first, he went past the keeper but rushed his shot and failed to score. Today he should have scored a second in the first half from the exact same position where the shot went wide. He's a really important player for us because, like Dele, eg pops up with lots of goals. A bit more concentrating when shooting and he'll score even more.

Why? People have opinions on players and share it on a messageboard.

No need to apologise for anything. Sometimes people get it right, sometimes they get it wrong.
I dont think anyone needs to apologise, or got it wrong really, just judged to early. Coming off of the cesspit of social media seems to have helped though. He has reacted really well since, wanting to shove peoples words back down their throat, and that is showing a great attitide to me. Good on the lad

Great game today for BJ. Liked he’s tracking back & defending too. Probably the strongest all round performance I’ve seen from since he joined. Chuffed for him

The ones who were so adamant he wasnt ever going to be good enough should share their thoughts now.

Funny how theyre quiet now.

Does anyone truly think that he won't better his G/A from last season?

He scored 5 and assisted 10 without a proper pre-season, dealing with a niggling injury at the start of his Spurs career, in a new team/system.

Unless he suffers a horrendous loss of form, has a season ending injury or Odobert turns out to be that much better, my money is on him improving on those stats.

He wasn't particularly great on Monday but he'll improve as the season rolls on.

Keep the faith.

Man I'm happy for him, may he continue doing what he's been doing recently. That's exactly what was needed from him.

To be fair, this is kind of how he played the entire second half of last season - but a lot folks forgot all about that.

He is a good, young player, who works hard. Deserves all the support we can give him.

I don't know about other people but for me it was never about his ability, you could see he had the attributes, but seemed to lack the confidence to use them. Confidence as a footballer is everything, hopefully he continues to feel good, he's a nice kid and can offer a lot playing as he has been.
