Yeah I thought he did fine, I’m actually not sure Porro would have done a lot better defensively.Up against an incredible challenge of marking Ciry’s wingers the lad did well

He has played the vast majority of his senior games at RB.
Fine on the ball but defensively not that great. Overall decent performance but would give him minutes more centrally.yeah but that's not his position
I think we need to understand the most important thing for Gray is growing his skill set. Playing RB against an incredible City side will help him grow. Remember Ledley had an early season being used in midfield some of the time. It’s about rounding the players.yeah but that's not his position
“Defensively not great” is not what you want from any central player…Fine on the ball but defensively not that great. Overall decent performance but would give him minutes more centrally.
Centre midfield not centre back“Defensively not great” is not what you want from any central player…
It’s also not true. He did ok defensively against a big challenge. He didn’t look worse than Udogie tbh“Defensively not great” is not what you want from any central player…
Doesn’t matter.Centre midfield not centre back
He makes good decisions on the ball and defending. He’s not got the pace to be great as a FB though.Fine on the ball but defensively not that great. Overall decent performance but would give him minutes more centrally.
Both Gray and Johnson completely ignored him so both were at faultSit in row 6 next to the away fans, thought he was superb although I missed who lost their player for their goal
I’d imagine being at RB and being at CM ask completely different things defensively.Doesn’t matter.
Defensively he is not ready for that role and a mistake in the Bissouma/Bentancur role turns into goals.
That is probably his long term position- but not now.
He played a little bit in the preseason and looked lost defensively. He is fine developing right where he is. He is an amazing prospect who is 18 and still developing despite his price tag. I am thrilled he is at Spurs - and I already caused a few raised eyebrows in the thread when I said his upside is Rodri, I have not changed my mind about that.I’d imagine being at RB and being at CM ask completely different things defensively.
Nunes isn’t even a winger? Not sure he did well to be honest but he’s just not a RB. I said this when he joined. Was up against it tonight. Looking forward to him moving into the middle as he’s very composed.
Of course he would have? Porro can actually defend especially just against pace. Nunes isn’t a wingerYeah I thought he did fine, I’m actually not sure Porro would have done a lot better defensively.
100% this. Porro would’ve had Nunez in his pocketOf course he would have? Porro can actually defend especially just against pace. Nunes isn’t a winger
