Great seeing him up close tonight. Proper talent. Never ever a right back and can't defend one v one for shit, but I'm sure it'll help him develop. Will be an incredible central midfield player.
Agree, he was so reluctant to close his man down. I hope he gets a bit physically stronger and quicker and that helps him be more aggressive defensively.

He's great on the ball and clearly very tactically intelligent but long term he can't stand off like that defensively

Started off really well, then got a little sloppy then finished the game off strongly. With a bit more experience he.will develop into a top player.

Hopefully he gets more game time in Europe, the more he plays RB, the more he will get better at the defensive side of the game which will help when we eventually transition him into midfield. My Leeds mate was so gutted when we got him and for such a good fee he feels.

Class player. Will only see the best of him when he goes into midfield.
Dont forget, Gray and Bergvall are younger than the likes of Jamie Donley. They will play all the Europa games .

He reminds me of Carrick tbh, definitely shows his age at times and can try too hard to force passes but his future is definitely in midfield and his versatility will be such a bonus for years to come.

To all those describing him as terrible right-back, not a right-back etc.
We do not play with bog-standard full-backs in our system. They are expected to contribute hugely in possession, which is why he gets played there.
He's clearly not a traditional right-back and given his age & experience, plus how we play he can't be expected to look like prime Gary Neville.
He is a fantastic footballer, learning all the time and guarantee will become a massive star for us. In Centre Mid.

My Leeds mate is the same. Feels he's going to look a bargain by the time the season is done.

I agree with him. Kid is a gem

The composure at only 18 is seriously impressive. Also doesn’t seem phased when he makes an error, just gets on with it and still wants the ball. Love him.

Young Archie is bound to be a star. But someone needs to have a word with his barber…😂

Edit: Negative rep lol. Had no idea that his now offended barber was an SC member 🤣

The lad looks about 16 here, but speaks very well - old head on young shoulders?

There’s been some great articles on him and his upbringing and mentality. We all know his pedigree is top notch. It is obvious in everything I’ve read he’s absolutely drank all of it in from his elders. Wise beyond his years and will be a very important player for us for years to come

Well I watched him last night and I don't think he'll become good with experience and coaching, he is already good and more. With experience and coaching he's going to be massive.
He was good last night and so confident and comfortable on the ball.
