What a debut. It's early days, but with a debut like that, it's difficult not to believe we might have someone truly special on our hands.
He has to be one of the best GKs in the league with his feet already, up there with Alisson, Ederson, and Raya. If he has the shot-stopping to match, the sky is the limit.

Glad we moved swiftly but confused as to what Munn does if Levy flew in for negotiations. I know he’s head been counter and all that but he’s clearly not stepped away from the football side of things at all.
I wouldn't say that the chairman negotiating deals for 10s of millions of pounds means he's involved in the football side.
I'd say that's fairly standard across football and any business. This isn't the stick to beat him with IMO.

That said, he probably has his fingers in the footballing side still which isn't good.

Just watched his interview on Spursplay. Famous Spurs fan Roy Keane would be proud. When they asked Kinsky about his saves he said ‘it’s my job’. 😂

His long kicking was what really caught my attention. It was so accurate. That's something I don't ever remember us having, from any keeper since possibly Robinson.

Good to see it as an option too. Means the opposition have that to think about instead of just pressing the hell out of us when we try to play out from the back. Our goal was pretty much route 1 too. Kinsky to Porro to Solanke to Bergvall - Bosh!

Still early days obviously, small sample size and he will have periods where things don't go right for him but he definitely seems a better fit than Vicario for what we're trying to do here.

Still think as a shot stopper Vicario is top class, but Kinsky opens up the pitch so much for us with his ability on the ball that the amount we'd have to defend will reduce with what he adds on the ball. He's now where we start our attacks whereas with Vicario we'd start from one of the center backs.

Very promising for the future.

Best debut since Mido? Just hoping it goes better from here on out!

Interview with his agent. Good to know we went out there on 1st jan to get it sorted -

Viktor Kolar, Kinsky’s agent, said: “Our team was still sitting at a petrol station in Prague until almost 10pm of December 31, because everything was closed on New Year's Eve.

“The subsequent development was that on January 1, Daniel Levy flew in himself and the two-day negotiations in Prague began. He had Johan Lange with him.

“The negotiations were intense, stretching late into the night. But it worked, and I’m happy about that. It was a beautiful test to see if people and organizations this dominant can find their way to each other.”

I guess Levy couldn't resist the urge to get to a telephone box and put on his Super Negotiator suit on for this one.

I jest. Fair to play to him and Lange for getting this one done quickly and backing Ange.

The boy is passing like a quarter back. Proper gamechanger.

Will be interesting to see more of his shot stopping skills and how he deals with crosses.

I said when Vicario got injured that the way we've managed our goalkeeping roster is borderline negligent, and that a massive overhaul was due in summer.

I didn't imagine this meant we'd sign a new #1, but it looks like we may have just done that - whether deliberately or otherwise.

Small sample size, of course, but based on last night's debut, it's not beyond reason that we go into next season with Kinsky as our #1, and Austin as our #2.

I like Vicario but we're all well aware of his limitations, and in reality he isn't going to be prepared to be our backup keeper, but if Kinsky plays like that for another couple of months I don't see how we could justify him not being our first choice.

Agreed... If Levy is the one that gives final approval to sign the cheques, it's a great sign of him trying to seal a deal efficiently by being there at the negotiating table.

When watching it live, I thought Jota got the ball....and thought Kinsky got lucky

Bloody hell ! Now, I realize Kinsky lobbed it up & caught it....

Gotta say Kinsky looked much more assured with his passing than Vic.. that ball to Son was sublime

We shall have to wait and see on how he also deals with setbacks. But from last night’s evidence, he seems like a very calm and confident character. Which really is essential for a goalie, as that assuredness buoys the defenders. You also get the sense he has leadership qualities too. That seems to be a tertiary theme in our recruitment… you look at Archie, Lucas, Dragusin, VdV, Vic, Solanke, Vusckovic, and now Kinsky… also have either lead by example or vocally or both.

Sky is the limit for the kid and just hope we can all stay behind him even if he goes through any low spells or setbacks that are bound to happen to most keepers. Think over time he can certainly establish himself as the #1 and think it will be some battle between him and Vic, which is exactly what you want at the club.
