For those who went to the game to fill in... on the other hand, commentators get a 10.

"And now we go over to Andrew Pugh for the scores update elsewhere...."

Silence.

The commentary was "Premiership Quality" definitely!

Bassong. Man mountain. 7'8.

And yes, Gio... definitely an upgrade on Hulk. Dan Ashcroft. Visionary.

Loving the votes so far.

Commentators winning, followed closely by "3 minutes at right back" Tom Carroll

Aha, and when they went to the rugby - and I'm quite thankful that I didn't have to endure any rugby updates.

Miserable gits on here sniggering at the locals commentating . I liked their freshness myself...talking about the privilege of just seeing Lennon play Eek..marvelling at Bassong's size and stunned by the speed of our wingers .

Bit of true unspoiled enthusiasm for a change :hump:

That was one of the best commentaries I have ever listened to

Premiership quality.

One of them was also a massive fan of Livermore at right back. As for him and Bassong, dread to think what he'd have been like if he was commentating on Chris Samba!

Just gutted we scored a third really after I lumped on 2-0 with Defoe as first scorer

I agree. It was top notch! I'd take that over Andy Gray and Gary Neville any day of the week!

It was just amusing that's all. Nothing wrong with seeing the funny side of things, is there?

The commentators descriptions of Bassong just got more and more extreme as the game went on. I loved it when they described the cheltenham players breaking forward only to slow and be halted by the mere presence of the "man mountain" standing before them.

I almost wanted a replay just to hear them commentate again

A nice run-out for the 'B' team. IMO the stars were Kranjcar (in the first half), Rose, Gio and Livermore. If Corluka is off, I think that Livermore could be the our No 2 RB.

Cudicini 6 - Nothing to do; one iffy clearance

Livermore 8 (MoM) - His best performance in a Spurs shirt. Pacier than I thought.

Dawson 4.5 - Pretty rusty

Bassong 7 - Good

Rose 7.5 - Back to his form of last season

Lennon 6 - A few good moments but was very quiet in the second half

Pienaar 6 - Not impressed

Kranjcar 7.5 - Great first half but vanished after half time

Gio 7.5 - Robbed of one goal by Defoe. A good performance.

Pav 5 - Better after the break but dire in the first half

Defoe 5 - Disappointing

Livermore impressed me most, playing out of position and was in my opinion our best player.

Cudicini 6 - Not troubled.

Livermore 8 - Played out of position and did a cracking job.

Bassong 6 - Steady, wasn't really tested.

Dawson 6 - As above really.

Rose 7 - Solid, strong and positive.

Lennon 6 - Just pleased he got a run out.

Kranjcar 6 - Some nice passes but should have dominated against Cheltenham, thought he'd be well up for it today.

Pienaar 6 - Same as Niko.

Gio 7 - Had some good spells in the game. Defoe "stole" a goal off him, but in fairness to JD he would have thought there's a chance it would have curled on to post/wide/across face.

Defoe 6 - Thought he'd fill his boots today.

Pav 6 - Scored which is only thing stopping him get a 5.

Harry got it spot on with team and tactics. We never really needed to get out of first gear and it was a training excercise really. Bring on Everton!
