Sissoko's Lazarus-like rise this season has been incredible to see, and I love that he's become a cult figure. He had a great season. But the fact that he was so bad, and then has improved so much is influencing people's opinion on the POTS thing IMO. You have to consider the season in isolation, without thinking about history.

And on that basis, while he's been excellent this season, he's absolutely not been better than Son, who is my POTS. In fact, I'd have Sissoko behind Alderweireld at 2nd and then Vertonghen at 3rd as well. For me he's level at 4th with Harry Winks, who was just as important as Sissoko before his injury in holding that midfield together, but less eye-catching and without the story behind it. Which I think would be fitting as well considering that out midfield was threadbare this season, yet those two formed an unlikely, but very effective partnership and both put in heroic efforts to hold that area of the pitch together in tandem.

I had thought of doing that but didn't have the time. I will say that Sissoko would have won by a land slide having won over 75% of the polls. I think I will set it up for next season and will ask the moderators to "stick" it.
I'd think they'd be able to automate it easily enough

Only way this can be fair is to have a season ticket voters award and then a members award

Quite a tough question.

For me, it would be from Toby, Verts, Sissoko, Sonny, Kane and possibly Lloris.

I've gone for Toby, for his consistency, but I totally get why there's so much love for Sissoko; he's done a cracking job this season.

Come on Levy; get some contracts signed and bring some new players in, and we'll be firing on all cylinders next season!!

Toby. Ultra solid and the utmost professionalism all season after the mess that was last season. Really hope we don't allow him to leave.

A Player of the Season for me has to be the best and most consistent player of a whole season.

Son has not done that for me, and therefore the decision is easy to vote for Moussa Sissoko.

What a player he has become in that CM role. We all saw that when he played for Toulouse and in FM/FIFA :)sneaky:). Not so much at Newcastle. But for that to happen in real life and for Poch to realise that has helped our team massively.

Gonna be real excited to see next season, when he hopefully get a class CM beside him. We will be a force to be reckoned with.

Sissoko has performed better, and more consistently, than the likes of Pogba if you ask me. It's not just a case of him being vastly improved, its as though he skipped the improvement stage and went straight to the world beater mode. He has been the difference in so many major games.

Sissoko has been great don't get me wrong, but Son has been our saviour in Kane's absence and put in the hard graft even after two international tournaments (one of which was emotionally draining in that winning saw him be able to continue his career). His smile and free spirit has shone immensely, meaning opposition fans are hard press to hate him.

Son overall player of the year deservedly, Sissoko gets most improved.

Have to agree that Sissoko has been the most improved player. His form over the last two or three months has been great but I remember plenty of occasions earlier in the season when his technical ability let him down or he was one on one and he passed to the defender or something. I never berated him for it but plenty have on here. Thankfully his confidence has grown and grown and recently he has been imposing himself on other teams like never before. Hopefully next season (or on the 1st June) we'll see some goals from him. This year he's played 37+10 sub appearances producing 3 assists. It would be some story if he manages to score in the final.

I voted for Son because he's been so important this season and 20 goals and 7 assists (from 36+10sub appearances) prove it. It's easy to forget that he's also managed to fit in three month long international tournaments over the last year. I kinda feel that Sissoko's recent performances have shined the light on him and Son has been a bit inconsistent recently but over the season I'm finding it difficult to believe that SC is right and the One Hotspur/Juniors/Foreign Supporters clubs were wrong.

It's opinion of course. Anyway mine votes Sonny!

In current form Pogba couldn't lace Noble's boots, but the sentiment stands.

Sissoko has been arguably the best french player in the PL this season, only Laporte has matched his form.
