All transfers. Because you don't care about any other clubs or look at any other deals in as much forensic detail as you do the ones for Spurs.

Could we do stuff quicker? Probably. Could all clubs? Probably. Is there a funnier way of saying probably? Nobably.
True, but since I only care about who we sign or how long I perceive it to take, I can only comment on our workings.

Bobably.

He seems the kind of player to do a job and allow others to play. I welcome the signing if it goes through but don't really know how good he is.

I actually think that signing Hojberg could free Winks up and let him play more.
Winks is a decent player and always wants the ball, having someone defensive alongside him could free him up to play his natural game, which I think is a lot better than he gets credit for.

On US east coast time so just catching up. Having a player like Hojberg will free him up enough so that we can finally see how good he is.

He is an unfinished article and it is hard to tell where he will end up in the spectrum between world class and squad player. I think it will be somewhere in the middle. What we have seen suggests that his inconsistency of quality performances is an issue and whether that is situational (yoked to Sissoko) or inherent remains to be seen.

So in essence, another value Hojberg brings is the ability to allow other players to play to their strengths and if that is hte case, i'm for his signing.

Eh, we’re clearly worse than others. We’re regularly the last or one of the last in the league to sign a player. We signed Tanguy (and Clarke) early but left Sessegnon and Lo Celso for deadline day. Then we didn’t buy anyone the whole summer (only club to ever do that). Season before that we didn’t buy our first player until August 18th. That’s not some hyperbole to say we’re slower than most clubs.

We signed Ndombele and Clarke on 2nd July and signed two on deadline day, when we significantly reduced fee on them and they were also injured/coming back from holiday.
City signed Cancelo day before deadline. Adrian was bought on 5.08. United bought Maguire 5.08 too with paying exactly the same amount Leicester wanted at the start of window. Luiz and Tierney bought on deadline day.

Not a difference at all.

We're also the only PL club to have made no signings in the summer transfer window ever, I don't think it takes that much of a stretch of the imagination to think we could operate in the market better.

Think that's incredibly harsh on Winks, given he's spent most of the last 2 years playing with incredibly static attackers in front of him, no consistent competent players alongside him and a partner in Sissoko who usually hides from the ball.
The same attackers that Ndombele (when he plays) Eriksen and now Lo Celso find with no difficulty. That just highlight Winks' limitation in my book. To also say Sissoko hides from the ball is laughable. He too is limited in that he is clumsy, cannot shoot, most of the time poor first touch etc, but to say he hides from the ball is crap. In my opinion this statement was not thought through properly, making it not credible.

Still No Eze thread, and I can't start one, but saw this today -

West Ham will step up chase for QPR's £20m-rated Eberechi Eze

@THFCSPURS19 Can we have a thread for Eze, pls?

He could have stated the players signed in the 4 years have yet been good enough to move the team forward except maybe Lo Celso and Sanchez ?
Moura single handedly moved us forward to the CL final and has been a fairly regular fixture in the team and squad, so would include him there.

Weird to be comparing Winks with Lo Celso, Eriksen and NDombele when they play in completely different roles to him.

I agree but the poster opened that can of worms for criticizing and saying Winks doesnt pass the ball to attackers as they are too static. Cannot have it both ways
